Just had a thought, it the cast has perished badly, the other options are. 1) use a rubber band coupling high level (not sightly) 2) cut the cast out low level and renew it up in plastic.

That looks like cast pipe to me? Either way, just replace the coupling with a new one.

System boiler and unvented cylinder for me. Worcester is pants and way over priced. Viessmann 200w system with HO1A controller and a 170-200l cylinder. Pressure and flow rates need to be checked either way. Best of both worlds with this setup HTH

Richard, I know the regs mate. 9 out of 10 bunches of properties will already have an open ventilated stack. Ive not came accross a house yet that couldn't have one fitted. I thought by your post you was referring to having another stack within the same dwelling

Jus use normal anti-fungal transparent silicon. It will be fine. Stick some in the screen channel, then some in the rubber and re-assemble. ;-)

I'd be tempted to re-use the grip. It ain't Goin no where with silicone in it. Ever tried pulling a bath out without cutting the silicone?

Our P shaped screen is the same. Glass keeps coming loose. Recon if its out of warranty you squeeze some clear silicon in, before you re-fit the glass.
