Vitodens 100 central heating stuck on

Could also be a stuck relay in the honeywell controller your using. What lights are on- on the front of the boiler\?

new boiler with old solar panels

If you fancy the 200w viessmann which is the dogs danglies BTW. Have a look at the Viessmann 242, it has an unvented integrated hot water cylinder and will also incorporate the solar panels. You can also add the HO1A controller into the mix which will then give you weather compensation. Solar...

15mm hot water supply to existing 22mm piping - problems ?

So you plan on putting mains pressure through you immersion tank and then tapping off that to your new heater? If that's the case, I suggest you STOP what your doin right now and getting someone in who KNOWS what there doing!!!!

15mm hot water supply to existing 22mm piping - problems ?

You will need to isolate your cylinder from the heater as the water heater (I presume) is mains fed? If you want to do it the way your suggesting, then you would need to fit a 22mm gate valve, double check valve then another 22mm gate valve before the 22x15mm tee your going to fit on the...

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

You've asked for a motorised valve that isn't standard/costly. Just trying to give you other options. The 24vdc one I suggested would do the job from what I can see. How high are the ceilings? Could you raise the floor 25mm?

Hot water pressure - best solution

Vailliant 30cdi? Don't you mean Worcester? What type of house do you have? (size). If you have room to fit a fair sized storage tank, you could go with a boosted cold water setup. Then you could use a megaflow and the likes

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

If there is no system fitted as yet, then why can't you get all pipework back to a central point for control? Can you not hide the pipework in a box skirting with drops from the loft for example? Minimal drilling

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Fair play with the Vapor trvs etc but as you say, prob has the wax filled type. You still can't beat the control the "gizmo's" give tho. Individual programmable, temp control of each room with optimisation. Then also being able to control it all over the web/iPhone/desktop etc and a central...

15mm hot water supply to existing 22mm piping - problems ?

Will you not be feeding your water heater off the 15mm cold main? Most gravity hot water installations will be in 22mm, especially to the bath, thus if you pipe from 15mm to 22mm you have an increase in volume, decrease in pressure. How big is the water heater you are proposing to fit...

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Off the shelf is not always simpilicity if the equipment has to be "stretched in function" to meet the requirement. And how many off the shelf items have impressive gizmos to make them look impressive like glow in the dark touch panels. The heatmiser stuff is all LV and back lit. You...

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Trvs are also very slow to react!! Digital prog room stats are a much better option IMHO giving a fair bit more control to the customer. Not to mention optimisation.

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Weather compensation has already been suggested. Individual programmable room stats are much more effective than trvs with remote probes too.

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

240v could be taken from a spur/socket already in the room Also could you not repipe the rads to a central manifold below the roofline and control from there? Have a look argue heatmiser plus system, it's spot on, have it running in my own home with the vitoden 200w and wc. Highly...

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Heatmiser stuff can be controlled from a central pad. Also I'm sure they do a 12v actuator. Why don't you want 240 at the valve?

Fixing a heavy radiator to plasterboard partition wall

goto the radiator you want to change, and isolate both valves. Get your self a tub/bucket and sheet. open air vent and bleed excess pressure and close. Open nut to radiator and ease pipe work and drain rad into tub/bucket. You could also turn rad upside down, fingers on ends of rad flow...

ELV (12 volt DC ) operated zone valves

Why not use the viessmann 200w as suggested? Fantastic piece of kit. You could also fit Prog room stats in each room, (heatmiser for example) (runs over cat 5), and fit 240v acuators at each radiator and build a small LV box with a 240/12v relay in it situated close by. You would then be...

Moving a boiler into a Conservatory

Rich i meant as in on my iphone mate lol... From what i could gather, it says independantly controlled? Also the inter dividing walls have to be insulated and also the door to be draught proofed? Im not sure if this is the case too, but a surveyor told me bsck in march that if you wanted...
