Moving a boiler into a Conservatory

Just had a quick read of the regs, Im on my phone so bit difficult to take it all in. So if I'm right, you can fit heating off the circs, providing its individually controlled(which UFH and a rad would). Also basically you have to keep the existing doors between the dwelling and the conny...

Moving a boiler into a Conservatory

Well you learn something new everyday. So what are the additional budding regs required to fit a rad? Most descent conny fitter would have fitted 100mm kingspan in the floor as a minimum. With regards to selling, if you have fitted a rad/UFH without BR approval. Nothing to stop the seller...

Gas boiler and Stove with back boiler into twin coil unvente

So you want to replace your current cylinder with a twin coil cylinder and heat it indirectly from your gas boiler and stove? What output is the stove circs rated at? I would fit a separate F&E tank in the loft which would feed the stove circs. Run the existing hot water circs to one...

Moving a boiler into a Conservatory

Is that right with regards to fitting heating in a conservatory? Don't suppose you have a link to the reg do you? Or is that just if it's not going through building control? We usually fit UFH and a backup radiator, dependant on size.

Main Stopcock Shared - Require Info

If that hexagonal nut in the meter chamber turns both houses off, then that meter is providing BOTH properties. Ask your neighbour to run a tap and check the meter to see if it's moving. If it bothers you that much then it would be cheaper to pay for an internal stop cock to be fitted at...

15mm hot water supply to existing 22mm piping - problems ?

You may also find that you get a drop in water pressure in the hot feed to the bath etc. I would recommend you change the pipework to 15mm. I cant understand why you don't want to use an immersion and tank?

    vaillant or worcester boiler

Which is why im suggesting he uses the 200w with weather comp... You cant go wrong. 5 bed house is gonna use more that 8kw. Also its still hard to get customers to leave the hot water trickle charging so to speak.. They still think 2 hrs on is best.. Same goes for heating

    vaillant or worcester boiler

I would never only allow 2kw for HW, advice or no advice... I allow 8-10kw minimum on a 3 bed house with say 1 bathroom, kitchen etc. It all depends how many people live at the house/ life style etc. Like ive said the boilers are modulating so it will ramp down anyway. And were not...

    vaillant or worcester boiler

I appreciate that, but thats more new generation housing and not current. With the new generation, thats where heat pumps with solar HW and the likes will come into play. Older houses are alot more in-efficient as we know. Also this guy is heating a cylinder too, so there could be anything...

    vaillant or worcester boiler

I disagree there mate the 35 viessmann for example will modulate right down to 5kw so as long as his output is greater than his input then he will still benefit, especially if he uses weather comp. Gareth
