    check stuffing box on top of water section.Can get crusted up if been leaking a while.Means the pin in water valve doesn`t move down far enough.This in turn stops the servo valve giving correct hydraulic pressure to rear of diverter valve ergo microswitches not pulled in and no c/h. Paul

    If the sytem pressure is drained does the pressure gauge drop? Then does the pressure gauge increase over time without you actually topping it up ? If so dhw heat exchanger faulty. If not refill sytem vent rads etc.Now with tap on and boiler fired does any heat go down the central heating...

    Have had this prob with water in switch housing caused by leak where pin exits dv. If dry could just be dud switch. As for diaphragm ,if you have stripped it down anyways why not ?

    Heard a while back that you cannot repair pcb`s and refit,something to do with it not being tested to manufacturers spec.Is this true? Realise what the OP does on his own boiler doesn`t apply but does it apply to RGI.s ?

    Boiler switching on&off&on&off

    If it`s a Solo 2 PF they did change the pilot kit.the original injectors get clogged up. lower pilot flame boiler causing boiler to fire then shut down cos pcb not able to rectify quickly enough.

    is there any signs of water /dirt in switch or on the dv valve where pin exits? If so ,this will cause the switch to short circuit fetching the boiler on without demand. Remedy is ti fit new dv valve internal kit.Pain in tha arse if you haven`t got the right sized spanner.Oh and change water...

    And order the washers as well-don`t come with valve.Also the tiny little washers on the little pipes as these don`t come either.Had to fit this valve today. Why can`t Baxi/Pot supply washers, tight fisted sons `o ............ RANT OVER!!! :x :x :x

    I thought it was illegal to repair pcb`s and then fit back onto boiler.Something about them not being tested by manufacturer to their inspection criteria or am i mistaken? Paul

    No. check to see if there is a gutter above boiler flue.could be leaking frome there down into flue.

    could be caused by vent being incorrectly positioned in system or build up of sludge/muck .This could have caused pump failure in the first place. Did you get to see old pump? was it full of sludge?Have you had circulation probs to rads downstairs/
