Mike - I don't think you're understanding. If you want some advice on setting up your sink in a different area of the kitchen then you need to supply the details I mentioned before. If all you want to know is the ins and outs of digging a trench across your kitchen floor and running pipes...
Mike - you'll continue to get "unhelpful" comments unless you post some more details. :| There's so much information missing from your OP. A diagram would help but people need to know what the current set up is regarding the supply pipes and the drains (where they come from and where they go)...
If I was the landlord, and even if I didn't want to spend any money on it, I would be a bit peeved if someone covered my purbeck flagstone floor with resin or screed or even drilled a load of holes in it.
At the end of the rental your friend might be asked to restore the floor to the current...
Is it possible your new shower head is designed for high pressure (mains/pumped)? Is it possible to remove the head from the feed pipe and test that water if flowing OK from the pipe?
Do you mean "as many teeth per inch as possible"? The more teeth per inch the finer the cut, but the slower it will cut, which is why log saws have few teeth per inch and hacksaws have many.
I remember reading somewhere that you should aim to have at least 3 teeth actually cutting at any one time.
Make sure the lid area is clean and the lid gets a good seal. Then turn the pot upside down so that the inside of the lid joint gets a coating.
I have wondered about storing paint tins upside down so that any skin would form on the bottom. Don't know if this would work?
Were the 2 brushes the same or a matched pair. Could you have got them crossed-over? Did the brushes need "unlocking" first, if so did they extend out properly? Sorry, I've only ever changed them on my Hotpoint.
There's probably a proper solution but I've seen a bolt being used vertically into the wood above the door. I've also seen a hook and eye as a solution or a hook-over catch (cabin hook) would do the same.
Is the smell merely in the atmoshere in the kitchen or does it get stronger in certain areas? You might need to have a good sniff around - try inside all the cupboards and drawers, the sink drain holes, around any external doors or windows, the cooker extractor, any air vents, remove the...
It's your money to do what you want with, but read the adverts and watch the videos with some scepticism. The actual painting might be quicker but how long does it take to clean up afterwards, does it need a special (read "expensive") paint, how long do the pads last and how much do they cost to...
I would use a decent 7" medium pile roller to do the walls and a decent 2" brush to go around the edges. Don't overload the roller and it won't drip. I wouldn't bother paying for gimmicky paint applicators - it's very easy with just roller and brush and a good paint. What you will probably get...
Would these work for you?

My carcasses are similar and my plinth is just pinned in place using inch-and-a-half panel pins into the verticals.
There's normally a gate valve between the cold water tank (in the loft) and the hot water cylinder. You turn this off and then gently open the hot tap until the water stops flowing. If, as you imply, you don't have this gate valve then you either have to empty the the cold water tank first...
Unscrew the nut on the inside of the tap (inside the water butt). The tap then pulls out. There is a plastic washer on both sides of the hole. I bet you'll find one or both of these has hardened and cracked/broken. Replacement washers are easily obtainable (B&Q etc.). Clean around the hole...
You'll never get it quiet unless you triple glaze and treat the whole wall but hopefully you'll improve it a bit.
Have you tried the interim 50p solution? - it really works unless you need to hear the alarm clock/phone/etc.
