Gutted over creaking shower tray. Adjusting riser legs under shower tray possible ?

Foxhole, if you mean there appears to be a gap on the tray base where the upper leg is inserted, I think it's the design of the tray as others at the front have a similar shape.

Gutted over creaking shower tray. Adjusting riser legs under shower tray possible ?

Yes, it's still happening. A yearly fix from my plumber has kept it going except he's now off sick. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the legs. When I looked at the tray today, one of the legs the revolving "collar" at the top was loose. Is this supposed to be firm so that it is supporting under...

Legacy old underfloor heating resources for dealing with problems Kee, Nu-heat

I was looking for information on people's problems with old legacy underfloor heating system installations and google was not coming up with much of interest at all. Then I searched my own computer and found a forum thread I'd saved from many years ago from a now defunct forum Ebuild which...

    Party wall dispute

What a nightmare. From my dipping in and out reading over the years removing chimney breast undermines the structural integrity of period buildings. I know people do it though. It's the equivalent of filing down your own teeth to put on veneers. Looks good, but based on making irreparable...

    Dual Flush Toilet Problem

The disc on my ideal standard has broken off just like this. Must be a thing. Also there's a steady almost inperceptable stream of water into the toilet pan. I can't put the cistern lid back on without flushing the loo and it keeping it 'in flush' so the water does not replenish. Not sure if...

    Possible condensation in attic?

The more insulation on the floor of the loft, the more likely water vapour will condense on the wood above etc due to the temperature drop as less heat from the house is able to get through. The more the insulation, the more important the loft space is ventilated.

Chimney breast in loft, brick repair urgent or not??

Over the past couple years when there has been a lot of windy driving rain (that seems to happen more often these days), we have noticed spots of water staining in the back bedroom ( old terraced house) coming from the loft above, approx 30cm away from the edge of the chimney breast After...
