    Letting, selling

I can see how that could feel. It doesn't have to be that way though. You can chose to let them get on with it and turn your attention elsewhere. For more; google 'detach with love'. Some people don't want to be fixed or controlled. I advocate letting people make their own mistakes or make...

Swinging kitchen base unit door fix ??

The kitchen is installed and can't be changed design wise I wondered if an experienced kitchen fitter would say " ah I know; what that is you need to xyz" Perhaps it is adjustable on the hinge, reluctant to try without knowing what I should be doing. Or maybe it indicates the cupboard was not...

Space tight. Smallest frontplate for Zone 1 extractor fan ?

Thanks for coming back so quickly TTC I am not an electrician ... but I'm thinking technically it could still get splashed ( although unlikely) I wonder what do the regs say about where zone 1 ends when a duct is involved ? My situation is that it would have to sit in the duct in the wall...

Space tight. Smallest frontplate for Zone 1 extractor fan ?

Shower room adjustment going on. We need to push the position of the fan up because of the shower enclosure profile now clashing with original vent hole. Unforseen complication. Space is tight Vent is on outside wall I noted a Steeple 12v fan has frontplate dimensions of 156 x 156 Can you get...

I had a workman in my loft and he discovered timbers from next door's loft conversion visible though 4 holes in party wall and rubble from where the stone/plaster from the wall had been blown off onto our side. Their house was last sold in 2008 and the loft conversion was done before that...

    Sewer gas escaping

Smells can come from waste traps from sinks/baths and loos that don't have any water in them. For example due to evaporation after not being used in ages. As the loo is removed could that be the problem of the smell ?

    Shower Tray Installation

Hi Tom I am not an expert. But hear is my take. Don't use feet because I have lost confidence in my riser legs and it's why I am here on the forum. If you have a read around you will see that bedding on mortar is a favourite method. As you have a concrete floor it should not be a problem...

Help ! Need some input from you guys Shower tray (install 5 years ago by tradesperson) has been making crunchy noises when I stepped on it. It's on riser legs. Walls on 3 sides.
