    Repairing Plasterboard in Bathroom

Another good tip that I forgot to mention, is putting red food dye into the white PVA. Mix it in well, give it a really good stir up, and it turns the PVA light pink. That way, you can see exactly where you've been, and if you've missed any areas, especially if you're working on a white or a...

    Repairing Plasterboard in Bathroom

Absolutely not a problem. This is what I would do. Remove any loose bits of paper on the plasterboard, and be "very fussy" about that,, give it a really good going over, looking for blisters etc, don't worry either about any bits where the paper has gone altogether, and the bare inside of the...

Dot & Dab On Pebble Dash

Why not strap the wall with 2"x1" or 2"x2" timber posts,, insulate between the posts as you go if necessary, then fit 12.5mm thick plasterboard sheeting, then tape or skim the wall. You'll have room to fit new sockets too if required. A "far far" better job than dot and dab.

Does bulge in wall require action?

No probs Padraic, as I said, easily sortable.

Does bulge in wall require action?

There's "nothing" here to worry about structurally at all, but this is shoddy workmanship, bad taping. It's caused where 2 sheets of plasterboard have met, without a tapered joint. The joint has then been taped causing a "bump" in the wall. This is the type of thing that happens nowadays in...
