hi there ... there are lots ov products u can use ,,, but ur hard task is ,,, if there are knocks on the wood ,,more or less all stains or waxes are translucent and these part will show up lighter ,,try to give these parts a coat first with out 2 much over spread to surrounding areas

hi there ,,, ye size is only for papering lol theres lots diff ways to deal with it ,, u mite even find the size may flake off in bits ,, if it was me id give the walls a thin coat ov matt emulsion allow 2 dry then sand lightly ,,, then 2 be on safe side ,,get white undercoat oil baesed thin...

all walls are different ,,, ur not ment to paper newly plastered walls for months as u said ,,as once the paper is on it my shrink and the edges are seen ,,, but as a painter we have this prob even on a drtlinned wall ,,and if there is any edges seen and the paper is washable ,, u can always run...

dulux matt has some vinyl in it ,,, u do get super matt dulux ,,, but as long as the wall are dry before painting u shouldnt av a prob just always build the coats up never try to cover in one or two coats

ur prices will vary lots depending on if its load barring ie brick ,,, give it a tap 2 see if it is and least put ur mind yo rest one way or other

looks like just bricked up for the smaller fire ,,, there seems 2 be a lintel in above the bricks should e ok to open up as lonas as uv near as 150mmbrick work under bothsides ov lintil ,,, worth builder just looking at tho as cant see from picks clearly

i am a painter and from b and q ,,the best paints are the trade ones ,,, poss a bit more pricy tho ,,all paint will yellow with age,,,but i always use crown trade gloss ,,and always undercoat 1st ,,

how do u fit a flue threw a kit wall for log burner ie ,,,plaster board timber cavity and block work cheers

just watch out for over tightining screws as if the tiles r not bedded in well they will crack

the paint u seen sounds like potaflex used in schools and other high risk place where graffiti is a prob a good masonary paint is best used and u can top coat it with a v/silk for extra lastin against grime

best with a natural oil or wax but the wood will darkin as all treatment will enhance natural wood grain , same old tip though try it on a sample if u can

yes u can line wall and paint , just make shure well rubbed down and fill the best u can before linnin as paper will not hide all defects

the worst thing u will av 2 look out 4 is fitting ur fittings over tightining any screws will crack tiles
