100A Main Service Fuse and 63 AMP rated RCD

Well - it's obvious this would be connected after the Meter & i've already stated that i'm getting a PART P Sparky to install anyway and advice i was seeking was limited only to that of the rating of the RCD, but thanks for your concern.

100A Main Service Fuse and 63 AMP rated RCD

I just like to have some prior knowledge of what i am paying for - i have been poorly advised in the past by so called pro's of trades. It in no way means that i am doing this work myself and i have found that it also means that i have more respect from Sparks / plumbers and so on if i have SOME...

100A Main Service Fuse and 63 AMP rated RCD

I'm soon to have an Electric Shower installed and i am going to purchase the parts required in advance and just pay for the labour costs on PART P sparky. I have been doing some research, my service fuse states 100A. My Fuse Board has no RCD protection. I will run the shower from a second...

Electric Shower trips the MCB do i need an RCD unit also?

I'm very thankful for everyone that has taken the time to read and answer my question. I think i will ask the electrician to do what is best. By Part P spark i meant a domestic spark qualified to do part P work & self certify. Thanks.

Electric Shower trips the MCB do i need an RCD unit also?

When i stated 10 mm of course i meant 10mm2. Look, i do not need an overview of the install. I have no Manufacturers instructions. I'm getting a qualified PART P spark to do the work, ALL i wanted to know is - if all else is OK & it's the MCB (32A) needs to be increased - do i also need to get...

Electric Shower trips the MCB do i need an RCD unit also?

The cable size is 10mm, the power of the shower is 10.5Kw distance is about 10-15M from MCB to the Shower. I'm just asking that when the Electrician comes to do the job, do i have to have an RCD fitted?

Electric Shower trips the MCB do i need an RCD unit also?

I need to replace my MCB to my Shower to a larger type. I have no RCD units. If i replace the MCB, do i have to also install and RCD (Have to get Electrician to do this). How does Part P relate to this as it's already installed some time ago, although i have no certs. I would use a PART P...

Washing Machine INDESIT WG113D Leaking Water

Many Thanks for the replies here. I will have a go at tightening up the band then (glad i was able to make sense to where the leak was coming from and would make sense that the seal has perished). If this does'nt do the trick, and i have to get a PRO in, rough estimate to how long it might take...

Washing Machine INDESIT WG113D Leaking Water

The water is'nt leaking from the middle of the drum where the spindle is - it's from thje outer edge of the back of drum at the bottom where this bolt attaches to a metal loop that goes around the outside edge of the plastic drum housing. Would tightening of this bolt stop the leak or is there a...

Washing Machine INDESIT WG113D Leaking Water

INDESIT WG113D is leaking Water on fill at start of cycle at the rear of the Drum, looks like it could be coming from the Tension loop where a single bolt with a large Torx type head is securing it, no sign of any locking nut - so could this have come loose over time, not sure what the tension...

Advice on Kitchen Extractor from lighting and RCD.

The Fan i'm going to use is the same as i have in my bathroom - and i'm going to give this to the electrician to install. It's a very quiet fan and not really noticeable at all - especially with all the noise in my house anyway. Thanks for some good adice AT LAST from some posts that seem to...

Advice on Kitchen Extractor from lighting and RCD.

Now that is good advice from the previous post about the permanent live - if it comes to it i will just have the extractor running all the time, i've decided to get the same one i have in the bathroom and that is very quiet, no problem at all. Now, would someone be kind enough to let me know...

I AM going to get an electrician to install, I have to because it's electrical work in a kitchen under PART P, I have had electrical work done before - but after being ripped off in the past - i would like to be able to know in advance what i actually need to have done and not just pay for...

Advice on Kitchen Extractor from lighting and RCD.

The purpose of the extractor fan is to extract some air from the property so i do'nt have to open a window if the kitchen - why should i want to reconsider the method of install of this as i have outlined if it is an ordinary house?? I cannot see any problem in fitting an extractor to run off...
