    Scale problem?

Any suggestions are welcomed ! Just want to make sure I can get the boiler working as efficiently as possible. It seems strange to me that it can come on for as little as 1 minute. It takes well over an hour just to heat water to 60c. It's off for a lot longer than it's on. Thanks.

    Scale problem?

Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply. Is it normal that it cycles so much though? It gets progressively shorter so it's only coming on for around 1 minute and off for 4 minutes which means it takes ages to heat the water up. The house was built in 2005 and as to whether it is a new problem. I'm...

    Scale problem?

Hi, I have a worcester bosch 19/24 cbi. It was very noisy, however after using some fernox f2 this has dramatically improved. The issue remaining is that when I switched on the hot water, the boiler fired up for initially about 15 minutes, then went off for 3 or 4 minutes. After having...

    Boiler Insurance cover

Hi, I have a Worcester Bosch 19/24 cbi boiler. The question is: Would I be better going for Worcester Bosch's cover to get their specifically trained Engineers for this boiler, or does it really not make any difference and is the same as going with any reputable and competitive company?

    Help and advise needed please!

I'll have a look at that thank you. Do you think the noise with the central heating system is normal? Thanks :)

    Help and advise needed please!

Hello, Please excuse my naivety, but I was wondering if somebody could shed some light on a boiler problem for me and give an opinion for the second issue as to whether it is normal or not? 1. The boiler (W-Bosch 19/24CBi) sometimes will refuse to re-light (if at all) for heating the DHW...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Ok. Fair do's if the gas difference is negligible, I'll stick with it. Thanks for your patience and advice.

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Interesting. Maybe a cm927 would be better as the temp drops slower in my lounge than the hall where the present stat is, so it would come on less often. I get that tpi provides a very stable temp, just I'm happy with it dropping a little more before it comes on as I'm not sensitive to the drop...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Thanks Dan, your advice has been appreciated. I'm just worried about the constant cycling of the boiler once up to temp heating the rads only luke warm is costing a lot as with the old analogue stat once upto temp it doesn't come back on for a couple of hours as my house always maintains the...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Thanks Dan but the optimisation is to do with the boiler starting before official on time, not tpi. From the literature "The thermostat will adjust the start time in the morning/afternoon so the desired temperature is reached by the start of the program period. The system will restrict the...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Ok Dan thank you for the swift reply. Are you certain that the tpi control can be turned off on the Honeywell cm907. It's not mentioned anywhere in their product literature. Sorry for it being long winded, what I'm worried about is wasting money with the boiler firing more regularly than my...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Well ok Dan thanks for that. I thought by mentioning the danfoss one and that it could be turned off meant I was on to something. Would you care to explain your wisdom further then?!

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

What I am desperately trying to avoid is buying another stat that cycles the boiler all the time and unnecessarily. To keep the car analogy going, as my house is well insulated and therefore holds heat, it is like a car that can be put into neutral, engine turned off and then coast maintaining...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Heating up the house from cold does take a lot of heat, but maintaining the required temperature takes much less. It's like driving a car! While getting up to speed from standstill, the accelerator will be nearer the floor so the engine produces more power. When up to speed the accelerator will...

    Danfoss TP700 or Honeywell CM907?

Hi, I recently purchased a Honeywell DT90e and it has been driving me crazy as it seems too sensitive, turning the heating on and off constantly. I agree the temperature remains quite even, but often the boiler fires and the rads barely even get luke warm. Surely this is a waste of gas...

    Boiler constantly cycling

Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply. Sorry for getting the systems confused. I was just trying to give all the info I had and to show that the boiler was cycling a lot on both central heating and when heating the hot water. I guess I'll have to try to get hold of a contact thermometer then...
