    It all sounds pretty simple. I have noticed this though... It looks as though the heat of the light has charred the outer casing of that wire. Does that seem dangerous? Maybe I should get someone to do it.

    This is the scene from above: So it does look like I could pull the wires back through, and wire up a junction box. There seems to be enough slack to easily work with them. Would I be able to use a Chocbox to do the connection?
