I would fit a combimate Either a cartridge type that are good but unable to tell when exactly to change but the easiest and better option is the combimate that takes siliphos balls. Easy to change and easy to see when its due more balls. Hope this helps

Which of these can a non-CORGI plumber do..?

You can do anything with out corgi providing you do not interfear with *********** However you should be careful with some things if your not sure, i.e, safety discharges and such. There is always someone you can ring if your not sure.

    Attic radiator not working

The chances are, if you do have a header tank then the head of pressure is not great enough. You probably only have half a meter of head so by the time the water gets to the radiator there is no pressure to force it through or around the radiator. Try turning the pump up, but beware of air that...

Potterton Suprima 60 and funny noises

I would suggest you or someone drains down the boiler and you put an automatic air vent on both the primary flow and return off the top of the boiler. This is very frustrating and quite hard to resolve cause the air traps in the boiler. I thought it was strange to have this issue n a combi, as...

Bath/shower mixer taps with a combi boiler

This should be fine providing you have good pressure and flow rate through your other taps

Potterton Suprima 60 and funny noises

If the boiler is definately a combi, then the blow off should come off the bottom of the boiler and go directly outside. If the boiler is getting very hot then it should be cutting out on the thermo stat. If its not a combi then its just that like you say the water is not circulating through the...

Potterton Suprima 60 and funny noises

I would strongly recomend you get someone to take a look. If it is kettling then you must either have air in the boiler or its over heating. If its over heating then it should be discharging via the blow off. The unsafe issue is that if it is overheating and not locking out then you could...

    worcester bosch oil boiler fault

I think the last chap is right there, it is most definately the diverter valve. They are very easy to change yourself. Presumably it's a heatslave, or danesmoore. Generally if you take the casing off the diverter is a box type valve with 3 pipes and a wire on it. Get the name of it, probably...

Draining down a Combi boiler, any tips??....VENTED OR NOT???

Rad needs bleeding twice a day

I have come accross this a few times, more so recently for some reason. I've been finding it's negative pressure caused by your cold fill being on the return as apposed to the flow. Why this would have gone crazy recntly is beyond me, but the best way to find out is to either, 1. put a check...
