    Have I the right?

Conny, I am a NAPIT member and what you have stopped needs reporting. It is sub standard and his next customer will not be fortunate enough to protected by you. Crap like this shouldn't be happening or be allowed to be swept under the carpet.

    Heated towel rail spur

I wouldn't want to sign off work as my own if I hadn't been involved from the start. I suggest you sort out an electrician before you do anything so you can discuss how much he/she is happy for your to do and still sign off the work. If I was asked to connect someone else work without physically...

    C&G 2391

Some colleges get grants from the Government for adult education, hence the price variation. My 17th was subsidised very heavily thankfully.

Sounds like you have lost continuity of the ring. Check all your connections are ok ISOLATE THE CIRCUIT FIRST. The junction box is where exactly, as it still has to be accessable for maintenance purposes. If you have overtightened any connections they may look ok but have snapped off in the...

    What am I doing wrong?

BAS, Got that exact same die set at work, it is pants and leaves the same mess as yours. I personally use rocol thread cutting fluid and 1/2 turn, back off a quater. We are now proud owners of a 20mm and 25mm ratchet cutter which leaves the thread cut perfect. E Bay it.

Fellow Posters, As STORM2 has fitted a new consumer unit with absolutley no testing or sufficient knowledge of what can go wrong and has saved a fortune, we can all go to his daughters funeral with the money he saved for a slap up meal and a few drinks. As for what she was wearing, her next...

Ring circuit and emergency stop buttons on a contactor

vsynth wrote. How do you stop someone jamming in a contactor or shorting it out with wires? As Coljack said, all of our panels are only opened by a service key, only maintenance have them. If you have one in your posession at our work and are not maintenance it is goodbye regardless of why you...

Thanks for all of the replies, sparky friend has told me as all posts on here have that their is no requirement in the regs to do it but it is what he was taught to do even if another core is used as and identified as the cpc. Some sizes of swa do not meet requirements of the adiabatic equation...

    fuse box

This is not a failure as only a qualified person will be removing the covers with the tools required, working live is against the EAWR 1989 unless certain criteria is met. From the sounds of it, they do not exist in your enviroment. I would mark it down on a PIR as a code 4, does not comply to...
