Paying for your lawn to be looked after?

Having been in this exact position myself when we moved into a new house last year, I can give you my experience. This is a picture of the garden soon after we moved in. I spent the first half of last year trying to learn and improve it myself but in the end turned to a professional...

vokera riello loosing pressure, how to figure out why?

Did you put the freezer bag on the pipe INSIDE your house or OUTSIDE your house?! Sounds to me like you put it inside which is not what you needed to do.

    Scaffold width?

1m is a lot to give up just to be able to render it. Considering it is the wall your neighbour will be looking at, wouldn't they rather see a nicely rendered wall rather than an unfinished one? What price would you put on having that extra metre in your house? Could be worth suggesting to...

Rear extension on Neighbour scheme refused

Well I am no keyboard warrior and have never have no idea who you are and have no history with you. But on reading your thread it sounds to me like maybe you were mislead in the beginning on what is or isn't permitted development but ultimately what you want to do is not permitted development...

Rear extension on Neighbour scheme refused

Why is he a cretin? Permitted Development exists for a reason and has limitations for a reason. Your plans go over the limits and are therefore not permitted. Just because you almost got away with it, it doesn't change anything. You are not able to legally build what you want to build.

Help draining down Central Heating system

Ohhhh, now I like the sound of that type of solution! So how do I drop the pressure to zero? Open a bleed valve, catch the water and wait for the boiler pressure to drop to zero?

Help draining down Central Heating system

Good morning all, I needed some helpful advice and apologise in advice if my current level of understanding makes it clear I have no idea what I am talking about. I recently moved into my house and am not 100% sure of how my heating and hot water is set up but am trying my best to get my head...

    Extending a shed base

I'm not a professional flag stone shed foundation layer by trade so one of them might come along later and disagree with me. But my opinion for what it is worth is 1. There doesn't need to be a border around the edge of the shed. If you were laying a full concrete base, you wouldn't want an...
