    How Much??!

Laying simple carpet is not hard with a knee kicker. If you need to have a join or odd shape, then as said, best not to learn from an expensive mistake.

I can't see how this isn't going to run into the hundreds to fix though.

    Hello with Toshiba tv

The point is that the cable currently connecting her PS4 to the TV may be faulty. Try a different cable. They can be bought cheaply enough from Amazon if she doesn't have access to a spare one currently. If the problem still exists with a new/different cable, then I would be phoning JLP up.

    Hello with Toshiba tv

Why do people come onto forums asking for help and then argue against any advice they are given. I see it time and time again and it is so painful to read. You have two options, one is to listen to the advice, try and alternative lead and either rule that out or confirm it as the issue. Or...

New Leaseholder company trying to pass £20k charge to residents - UPDATE

Good luck, be creative and stay positive. Once everyone is this far into the process, nobody wants a chain to collapse. A problem shared is a problem halved. Though in my suggestion, it would a problem quartered for you...

New Leaseholder company trying to pass £20k charge to residents - UPDATE

You can always pass some of that onto the house you are buying as well, they won't want their sale to fall through either. ie - Reduce the price of the flat you are selling by £10,000 (new buyer has to find £10,000 but will benefit from £400,000 worth of improvements to the block of flats he...

Might be small compared to his neighbours and social circle. Everything is relative ;)

Is Click flooring a hard job to do yourself.

But the OP says his hallway is 81m2. He shouldn't be worrying about being able to afford a pro installer if he lives in a house with a hallway that big.

It's amazing how a quote of £600 plus VAT makes the time to solve it! Glad you got it sorted and dodged the £720 bill.

    Contract Hire Problem

Bird poo can be a pain but it certainly shouldn't need any respraying. What you need to do is find a good local detailer to you. Forget valeting and forget going to big garages, you want a good professional local detailer. Where abouts in Kent are you? I can certainly recommend KDS Keltic in...

Stopping kid play with electric window switch

Can you not just disable the rear window controls? On my Q5, the button at the bottom here disables the rear so the switches there do nothing, for the exact reason you are talking about.

Mini Digger Hire - do you need a licence?

I'm going to add in that it is definitely worth seeing how much it costs to hire a man WITH a digger. I did this recently and he cost me £250 for the day, all in (outskirts of London). I would suggest if I had hired a digger and done it myself it would have taken me all weekend, at least. He...
