    CU to Outbuilding - 45m run - 8.5kW Shower.

The outbuilding will serve as a social and outdoor kitchen area. A nearby toilet would be a nice touch for guests.

    Extend extension/convervatory to add WC

Hi all, I'm toying with the idea of building a small extension on the side of my conservatory to add a downstairs WC. The previous owner done a side return extension (shown in attachment with red outline), and as my house is detached I understand I can do 4m single story with permitted...

    Updating/ changing a website

First thing I would advice is to ensure you own the domain name and not the person who made the website for you. Secondly, with ownership of the domain you can point the domain to any website host. If you want the new designer to maintain and update your current website, you will need the...

underfloor heating efficiency vs pipe size and centres

Hi all, I'm looking at a retrofit UFH system with overlay boards for the ground floor above floorboards. I have been quoted various options including 16mm pipe in 25mm boards vs 12mm pipe in 18mm boards. Just wondering what your experiences are with either system for heat output and...

Thank you John. You have been very helpful on a number of topics of mine. I think I will run the grid switches on a separate ring and then have the conservatory and kitchen sockets on a second ring. (instead of having separate rings for kitchen and conservatory this balances things and still...

Is this okay? Kitchen Isolation Grid Plate Diagram

Thanks all for your inputs. I understand the load would be very close to the CU which isn't ideal. Equally I want to be able to easily access integrated appliances power supply. What is the most common method to do so? Should I just install switched sockets as part of the kitchen ring...

Is this okay? Kitchen Isolation Grid Plate Diagram

What happens when i need to turn off the fridge or freezer? Remove the entire integrated appliance forward? That seems inconvenient to me. The whole house is being rewired and everything is open so cabling is very easy at the moment.

Is this okay? Kitchen Isolation Grid Plate Diagram

One wall of the kitchen is completely units from floor to ceiling which is where the majority of the appliances are going. I'm not sure how else I would be able to turn an appliance off without pulling the appliance out to switch it off..
