Schoolboy error. Reposted taking out plumber details. I took off the red lid and it is a brass cap tigtened to its full. Should this be fully tightened? Its got no numbers on it from what i can see

Yeap i took it out to clean out. It was filthy inside. I just took ouot the bit that can come out in the center

forgot to say, pump is set to 3rd fastest setting. I took out the screw in the middle and water came out that was warm. testing with a screwdriver, the pump was rotating.

Hiya Yeap had the header tank cleaned out. When movin the dials at the front of the boiler the temp does move. Thx

Had a look at the external red pump. It is set to the 3rd setting. How do i check for debris? I undid the screw in the middle to bleed and that was it?

So likely to be a boiler issue rather than general house plumbing? Any recommendations to a good boiler engineer in the Guildford, Surrey area? Thanks
