    Hot water going cold

Just a mini update! I’ve not touched anything have left it all the same. The bath is working perfectly and heating up within like 10-20 seconds like before. The en-suite is warming up but taking like 4-5 minutes … and the ensure shower does go cold half way through then goes warm again after...

    Hot water going cold

We have an airing cupboard in the landing - the wall the other side is the en-suite. He did something in there and then I turned the shower and and tap on on en-suite and no water was running … Then turned on the kitchen tap and it went to 00 still

    Hot water going cold

Update… My mother in law has been at my house all day and has said: there was no hot water coming out of the main bathroom sink this morning and the kitchen has been cold all day. My partner got home an hour before me. I told him to use the main bathroom to shower. He did. No hot water so he...

    Hot water going cold

He came last night… Isolated the shower but we still had an issue with the flow being unable to be on full without it going to 00 and not firing up the boiler. So then he completely turned all water off, and slowly reintroduced it back in while running the hot water tab to make sure that flow...

    Hot water going cold

But if anyone has ideas for his next visit let me know! He didn’t go upstairs (my little one was going to bed) but did say about the mixer shower being isolated when off anyway, and not always possible to isolate it any other way… I can ask this again when he’s here day time!

    Hot water going cold

Unusual, because he said if the fan (not a fan) but the spinning thing) is faulty, usually it stops working with low flow and gets kick started with a fast flow… but ours is the reverse… working with low flow but not with fast… I’ll let you know and try take notes as he’s speaking!

    Hot water going cold

I’ve just had a gas engineer/plumber round to take a look at the boiler. He tested it and said the issue is quite unusual. Typically, when there’s a problem like this, it’s usually down to a faulty fan. In most cases, you’d notice that the fan doesn’t operate properly when there’s low flow going...

    Hot water going cold

I need a plumber to come and isolate the ensuite for me yeah? No idea how to do that. I just know flow valve under boiler and the water tap under sink lol

    Hot water going cold

I have googled… “The ensuite shower still runs cold water even when the boiler is off and hot flow is supposedly closed off. That shouldn’t happen. Potentially the mixer is allowing cold water to bleed into the hot supply, which disrupts the boiler. It could be affecting other outlets too, as...

    Hot water going cold

TEST 1,450 Flow fully open. HW tap in kitchen on full = 00 on boiler HW tap in downstairs toilet on full = 00 on boiler HW tap in main bathroom sink on full = 00 on boiler (very fast flow!) HW tap in bath on full = boiler kicking in (taking a long time to get HOT, lukewarm for ages - boiler...

    Hot water going cold

I’ve got an Ideal Logic CodeCombi ES38 boiler – should it be able to handle full-flow operation for a whole house? I’ve got a downstairs toilet, an upstairs bathroom with a bath-shower and tap, plus an ensuite with a tap and shower.
