    Kenmore washer will not fill

Sounds like an anti-syphon problem to me. Make sure your drain pipe is at least 32 inches high and also the drain hose going into the drain pipe must be a loose fit. It needs air as to not create a syphon problem.

    Dishwasher fill problem

A bad water valve can/will work for the first or second cycle and then do nothing after it warms up. If you want to be certain, check the coil in the valve for continuity when it is supposed to be filling with water and isn't. If it shows an open reading that is your proof for the bad valve.

    Upper Spray Arm

Anytime a spray arm is shooting water towards the door, it should be checked for a crack. If it is split, it can cause a leak at the door.

    kenmore cycles

Based on your troubleshooting, this certainly sounds like a bad fill valve. Good luck with the repair!

    Kenmore washing machine

Did you try filling it on cold and hot? Sometimes, one side of the water valve will quit working.

    kenmore cycles

This, to me sounds like a water valve going sour. Sometimes they will work for a cycle or two and then just stop working. What I would do is, when you are not getting the water fill when you are supposed to, I would remove the bottom panel of the dishwasher and measure the voltage across the...

    Kenmore Dishwasher Wont Drain

Check to see if you have a plastic check valve (it may be white in color) near the drain port. It probably unscrews off and may be clogging your drain line. Just locate and remove then, clean the junk out of it. This is fairly common occurence in these dishwashers.

Cold water is slow from washing machine

Don't forget to check the filter screen for sediment build up once you remove the hose from the water valve. These tend to clog up on the cold water side more often than the hot.

    Kenmore Washer No Hot Water

Your welcome and good luck with the repair! I'm in agreement with you on the costs difference. :D

    Kenmore Washer No Hot Water

If you check the hot water side of the valve for power while the washer is filling in either warm or hot setting, and you have power but no hot water you need to replace the fill valve and this would eliminate the temp. selector switch because you have power to this point. If you do not have...

    Kenmore Washer No Hot Water

It sounds like the hot water side of your fill valve has quit. You can measure voltage at the hot water side of the valve. If you have voltage and no hot water your valve is bad. You can also check the coil for continuity (no electricity), if you have no continuity the coil in the valve is...

    Dishwasher Sound

Hard to tell from here exactly where the noise is coming from. Perhaps it is a loose or broken impeller? If you go to partselect.com and then plug in model number MDB532 that should give you a breakdown of your dishwasher. It worked for me anyway.

Kenmore Washer doesn\\\'t fill completely in rinse cycle

Check the cold water side filter screen for sediment built up in it. Just shut off the water supplying that line and remove the hose at the washer. You should have a filter screen in there.

    Washer will not drain/spin

If the washer is not draining in that instance I would check for a kinked or clogged drain hose first. If there is water already in the tub, put the washer into the drain mode and pull the hose out of the drain pipe. You should see a good stream of water come out of that pipe when its draining...

    W/M stopped working, burnt smell

Since you had the humming earlier with the motor, you can pretty much rule out a bad timer contact or the such because the motor was getting power to it, just not operating. Unfortunately, a bad motor would be my guess too. :(

    Washer will not drain/spin

If it does nothing (dead washer, no noise) during the drain/spin mode, check out the lid switch. As far as the leak goes, you'll have to open it up and see where it's coming from, possibly the pump. This is a separate issue than the first problem.

    Kenmore 3-Speed Automatic Washer

If your washer will fill and drain ok but makes a noise during the agitate and spin modes and doesn't really move, it sounds like your motor coupler has broken. The coupler is a 3 piece part and not hard to change. It replaced a belt in these type of washers years ago. You may be able to...
