Kitchenaide Washing Machine Superba 2003-Broken Belt

OK. In your first post you mention a dishwasher, that is why I said there are no belts involved. Kitchenaid washers are made by Whirlpool and they have also been beltless since around 1985, assuming you are talking about your washing machine. If so, and your motor is running but no agitation...

Kitchenaide Washing Machine Superba 2003-Broken Belt

No belts on most dishwashers that I know of. Perhaps you can post a model number and what is giving you the trouble. :)

    Smoking washing machine

Easy enough to find out. Pull the washer away from the wall and then lean in back against the wall. Check underneath the washer (with a flashlight and mirror if nessasary). You will be a able to see both belts from here. Before you replace them or one make sure the pulleys turn freely. If...

    whirlpool estate washing machine problem

If your timer has quit advancing, it sounds like a bad timer contacts or a bad timer motor. Either way, you will have to replace it. It is not a tough job but not a cheap one neither. Basically, remove the screws in the console and flip the bottom console back. You may have plastic endcaps...

    Problem with Kenmore Dishwasher

If your dishwasher is filling with water while the dishwasher is off, it sounds like you have a bad water valve. It must have sediment in it stopping it from closing properly.

    Kitchenaid Dishwasher lights flashing

The only help I can offer is to check the tech sheet that came with your dishwasher. It will give you diagnostic precedures to assist in troubleshooting. It should be located behind the kick panel. Of course if you have done this already, ignore the above statement.

    wirlpool wont drain HELP!!!!

Is the motor running or trying to run when the washer is supposed to be draining? If so, check that drain hose for kinks or blockage. There should be a good flow of water coming out of the hose during the drain mode. If your washer is dead and no motor is running, check for a bad lid switch.

    Please help! Stumped (or Swamped!)

You are correct! Overlooked your *cold wash seems to be ok*, sorry. There is just one water level switch.

    Please help! Stumped (or Swamped!)

Does the hot water keep filling even when the washer is off or unplugged? If so, it sounds like the hot water side of the valve is bad and you'll have to replace it. If sediment gets inside the valve it can no longer shut properly leading to it leak inside the washer. If the water does stop...

    KITCHENAID WASHER, SUPERBA

Hi WFUDAD. You might want to continue dissasembly from the point where you had the control panel flipped over. Unplug the lid switch harness and with a flat screwdriver bend the two metal clips until they release. After that, stand in front of the washer and tilt the cabinet towards you...

    KITCHENAID WASHER, SUPERBA

Hi WFUDAD. The water level switch (sometimes called a pressure switch) is located behind the knob that you chooses your load size in the control panel. Pop off the plastic end pieces off the end of the control panel (If your washer has these). This will reveal the screws. Remove them and flip...

    KITCHENAID WASHER, SUPERBA

I would check into the water level switch. This switch is responsible for shuting off the water at the desired level and then switching the the power to run the motor. You may have a crack in the air tube thats connected to the switch or it may not be connected at all.

    Leaking during rinse cycle

I would fix the leak and then check to see how it runs. You have to fix the leak anyway, so for me, one thing at a time. If you need help disassembling your washer, you'll need to post a model number. It could be the pump leaking which is pretty common.

Sorry Breezer, just beat me to it.

Washer won't fill, but will drain and spin

A couple of things you can check for: Make sure the water supply hoses are not kinked. Also, check the filter screen at the water valve to make sure it is not clogged with sediment that would stop the flow of water. Failing that, you will have to replace the valve.

    frigidaire wash machine

Assuming this is a top load washer and your motor is running but nothing is spinning, I would check the belt out.

    frigidaire wash machine

Do you hear the motor running at all when its supposed to spin? If not, I would check out the lid switch first.
