    Recommend new panel please

It's too 'toy town'. I think many people looking at some 'sit on shelf' and ESP32 based alarm replacements don't realise everything that goes on inside a compliant system. I develop systems and know myself that it would be easy to pop in a raspberry pi to replace the panel PCB, but the panel...

    Recommend new panel please

That's the panel and non-prox keypad which can be used as a direct replacement of what you have. The following add-on boards provide additional functionality: A083-00-10 V4.14 - Ethernet module for app control A073-00-01 - RF portal to support RF sensors and RF remotes / PA buttons A081-00-01...

    Recommend new panel please

The Flex supports app, self monitoring and home automation. Capabilities depends on modules you add.

    Recommend new panel please

You can swap for a Galaxy Flex FX20. The medium case size will be ok. Any MK7 or MK8 Galaxy keypad will work, with the MK7 usually selling a bit cheaper on eBay. The older Galaxy G2-12/G2-20/G2-44 will also be okay, but that range is quite old now.

    Galaxy 2 alarm

There's probably a panic button fitted somewhere in the property. Normally near the front door or in a bedroom. It's a small white box about 1.5" x 2" with a red button which will be depressed. They normally need a small plastic key to release the latched red button. After the button has been...

    Galaxy FX050

Yes, most alarm companies will want to keep the monthly fees coming in. You can take over your hardware without any interaction from them. I'll await your message.

    Galaxy FX050

The metal case panel cannot house the GSM module that's required for sending SMS. Only the medium and large plastic cases support mounting the GSM module. You could use a cheap GSM module to tell you that the system has activated, but it will not give detailed information about the activation...

    Galaxy FX050

One other thing to add is that you need v4.14 Ethernet module, as prior versions have been end of life by Honeywell due to various issues.

    Galaxy FX050

Some people using SelfMon plug the Ethernet into a cheap WiFi repeater device for this. I'd advise against WiFi for signaling, but understand that there are some cases where it's required. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vonets-wireless-Bridge-Booster-VAP11N-300/dp/B07K6LQSVK This works with remote...

    Honeywell GD link-problems

Okay, great. Programming the panel is much easier using Honeywell Remote Service Suite via Ethernet.

    Honeywell Galaxy G2-20

Make sure you get the V4.14 version, as there are even two older versions of the -10 module (V4.10 and V4.11) that cannot be updated. The portal is fairly easy to set up. Wire up and use menu 72 to scan for it. Note that as well as the RF portal address, it will grab 1 virtual RIO address slot...

    Honeywell Galaxy G2-20

Eng Menu 51.17 has a load defaults option. Hopefully you have the A083-00-10 Ethernet V4.14 for the Flex, as all previous have issues. They can work for weeks or months then the Ethernet hangs and requires a power cycle. V4.14 is supposed to fix this.

Galaxy G2 update or add sim module

If you can follow step by step instructions, then it's something someone with light technical skills can complete easily enough. The app provides a virtual keypad on your phone like the one on your wall, so you can enter codes and view logs. There's also an internal web based keypad. The...

Galaxy G2 update or add sim module

Only the G2-44+ supported the old GSM module. If you're switching to self monitoring, you can add an Ethernet module. The SelfMon vmod is an Ethernet module that can send alarm reports to the SelfMon platform which costs £1 a month and provides messaging and path monitoring. You can also do...

tcc800m honeywell fob with galaxy flex.

IMHO, the best solution on the Flex is to either: - Switch OP 3 to switched DC, set as output PA (this output will fire on silent or audible PA), then place a wire link from OP3 to an input zone set as PA with resistance set to NC. You cannot have a speaker connected if selecting switched DC...

    Honeywell GD link-problems

Have you set the link output as reflex ? I'm assuming you're seeing the virtualised input changing state in display -> zones ?

tcc800m honeywell fob with galaxy flex.

Sorry for not responding - V busy. The correct way to resolve this is with a programmed link and not a physical one. The physical link is fine as long as you've removed the speaker and set the output as switched DC. If the speaker is still fitted with a DC output, it's likely that it will be...

Honeywell Galaxy 48 (versus Texecom Premier Elite)

I suppose I just didn't like the way they put it to bed. Basically masking a latent defect which doesn't bode well with regard to future RCCA. The companies dragged out response to the PSU issue made many installers jump ship to Orisec and you can't really blame them. Anyway, to keep the...

Honeywell Galaxy 48 (versus Texecom Premier Elite)

It's unlikely to be of any use. Even if a registered installer was to look after your system, they would install a newer IP based module.

Honeywell Galaxy 48 (versus Texecom Premier Elite)

The Galaxy is easy enough to program. And if Honeywell's cloud service or the likes of DualCom aren't to your liking, there's always the SelfMon DIY friendly alternative. The Dimension is a robust panel without all the PSU issues Texecom have had with their 'weak' components and workarounds to...
