Adding coupler or T but cannot "sprag" pipes

Can't file out an endfeed T I'm afraid, but you can also file out the ridge in a compression socket to make a slip socket-especially useful in awkward 22mm situations!

    three port valve weirdness

He's got it by jove I do believe I've got it! Spent this evening doodling the circuit-it really is a simple circuit once you've worked out the sequence-I now finally know how the motor is held stationary-my brother in law is a very experienced plumber, and of course he knew chapter and verse...

    three port valve weirdness

Sorry Mandate-dont know if you will see this-been trying to get a wiring diagram worked out for the circuit inside the actuator-danfoss dont seem to have one-from your description the microswitches must be interlinked-2 way switching style? Also is there yet another m/switch to switch the...

    three port valve weirdness

Thanks D. So it looks like a failure to return to hw only when selected on the programmer - last post position being ch only-would indicate a voltage still being present on the hw off terminal, and therefore the grey wire would still be live.So maybe a faulty programmer contact? Thanks for your time

    three port valve weirdness

bit embarassed to ask-but here goes-what is going on with a three port Danfoss which doesn't return to hw only when "asked"? Replaced actuator,as I had done about 15 months ago,and all working.Checked hw off wire goes to grey actuator wire and all ok. The grey wire ( I believe ) stalls the...

    Underfloor heating dilemma

Balenza, sorry if wrong term-plumber not builder-speedfit reccomend mutilayer foil type insulation -7mm thick which you turn up at the edges,so you isolate and insulate the thermal mass from the concrete underneath, and although this stuff is £200.00 for 20 sq.m.,it would seem to be the only...

    Underfloor heating dilemma

Thanks softus.I certainly won't be doing anything that compromises speedfit's advice,I have always found their technical support 1st class. My suspiscions were confirmed today when I dropped the quote round-myself and another plumber, around £8 k-apparently builders mate-£5k! Good luck to...

    Underfloor heating dilemma

I've been asked to quote for heating an office space-new build-it should be having underfloor heating-but there is only room for 75 mm absolute max screed,as is common practice, the insulation is under the slab. The buider has been told that this is ok as the slab willbecome part of the thermal...

    shower pump switching

my customer wants to have the shower either pumped or gravity for different household members,is there a way to switch the pump on/off other than a pull switch?I wondered about a low voltage touch switch,or a wireless switch possibly. The electrician-who is excellent-hasn't really got the time...
