    Central heating only comes on when I run the hot water

    and not always at that. A few weeks ago the heating stopped coming on when I turned up the thermostat. However if I left it turned up it would start maybe an hour or two or five later. Then it stopped coming on unless I ran the hot water tap for a while and only then sometimes. Any ideas please
