has it been serviced recently. may be an idea to get high and low burner pressures checked? can't think of an immediate fault that would throw up this symptom at all

if your dhw light is on constant then blr thinks there is dhw demand. it will therefore not allow the heating to come on as dhw takes priority. as ngff says either siezed diverter/pressure differential spindle or a duff dhw microswitch.

internal timeclock-grasslin type? if so check between N and both sides of switch. should have 240 L-N on clock switch (not between tor live and neutral on clock) sorry if you've saidabove what your set up is-too late and too tired to read

may not be the stat at all. Programmer, wiring, or most commonly the zone valves. I would look at your valves first.

One of our lads pointed out that the majority of the ones that have still got the original board in tend to be those installed in garages or cooler utilities. Can't say I have noticed a connection myself but thought it may be an interesting point.

have a look in the m.i's. it should show you the terminal connections that you make he stat across. check you haven't left the link in!

make sure they fit part no 5111603 and not simply old replacement board

plus i HATE blrs in lofts with a passion. Not to mention frost stats, pipe stats as well

biggest problems is not being able to keep an eye on it. having to access loft to check pressure etc. also you may hit problems if your htg is maintained by large national firm with regard H/S. eg lighting, boarding, access, ladder. carrying certain parts into loft etc etc

have you tried disconnecting th timeswitch connections at the blr terminal to see whether the fault is on the unit or timeclock?
