Why is this problem only happening at 94 degress, which is also the point when the cooling fan turns on? Once the engine has cooled down a bit it stops. Could the fault be related to the cooling fan coming on? My thought is turning back to the Idle control valve again! Peter

The guy at the garage checked it and said he did not think it was leaking, if it was he'd expect it to idle rough all the time. Looking at the MOT test results, I would say the lambda sensor was fine too. I'm going to change the temperature sensor in the hope that this will sort it out. Thanks

Took car to Peugeot specialist. He had a good look at the intake system and all sensors and could not find anything wrong. He changed the exhaust and put in a bottle of Forte Gas treatment. He said this should help clean up the engine inc lambda sensors. Was out the other day, everything...

FOUND IT! It's one of the inlet manifold seals. On the others the manifold sits flat with the head but on the fourth inlet there is a small 1.5mm gap and you can see the seal. I hope this is not a warped inlet manifold!? I don't want to remove the manifold myself, so could anyone on here...

Thanks Skippster The Idle valve was replaced last time it had a hunting problem, which turned out to be the purge valve not closing. Although, I do think it could be a possibility. Will get some carb cleaner and give it a good clean. Thanks Peter
