What is the purpose of mesh or paper tape on plaster board? Is it to literally keep the board joins together? Or some kind of bridge? I do know that it's necessary. And how about the tape on fibre cement backer board in shower or wet areas, what's the tape doing?

How do i make the best use of a say, 16no position clutch on a drill? Are clutches to facilitate screwdriving only? Does one find the best selection(s) from trial and error?

How can i tell the difference in a low or high pressure fill valve? Can i merely change the valve diaphram/washer to change the valve to low or high pressure?

The flexi bit on my exhaust is " leaking". To get the car past its MOT could i wrap the exhaust or do i have to go the whole expensive way and replace the front of the exhaust system?
