Smoke from exhaust on slow down after boost ?

If burning oil was the reason for the turbo change, then you have probably got oil that was carried over into the exhaust system. Two options, put up with it till it all burns off or change the exhaust.

    Peugeot 206 1.4 glx

The sooner you get a diagnostic check done the better, you'll know what is wrong and you can put it right. If you carry on running it without doing anything, it's likely you will damage the cat.

    Vauxhall corsa power problem

Have a second diagnostic check done with a different reader, when the light comes on it should record a fault. The engine probably reverts to "limp home mode" this means the ECU has set parameters to get you home or to a garage, that is why it runs under powered when the light comes on...

    W Reg Fiat Punto

Hi. The cost was £270 for the parts. I think you need to have a fault readout done first. If it is a coil pack/ECU problem it should flag up a fault code for "fault on no.2 coil circuit (coil for 2&3 cylinders). If your cylinders are ok (compressions etc.). Try swapping the coil packs...

    W Reg Fiat Punto

The misfire on 2 cylinders is a common fault. I have just done one, i.e.new coil packs and a reconditioned ECU . Try here www.the-ecu-doctor.co.uk or here www.lynxautomotive.net ( check the common faults write up )

    W Reg Fiat Punto

Hi. The misfire on two cylinders (1&4 or 2&3) is caused by a faulty coil pack or a faulty ECU or both. I would advise changing the coil packs (2) first, if that doesn't cure it you will need an ECU repair or replacement.

    Vauxhall Movano cutting out

There should be a sensor in the fuel rail which detects the fuel pressure from the pump, that could have an intermittent fault causing the fuel to shut off if it detects a (false) pressure drop. The running pressure in the rail is a constant 1350 bar. This sensor will flag up a fault if it...
