    Climate: The Movie

Glaciers are not sea ice, until they go into the sea, which they are doing at a faster rate due to climate change. There is a lot of glacial ice to melt, so one should be concerned.

    Climate: The Movie

I knew that the main drivers for sea level rise was thermal expansion of the oceans, and partly down to the ice melting, but I didn't know of a third issue (that is only a slight influence: "Global warming is causing global mean sea level to rise in two ways. First, glaciers and ice sheets...

    Climate: The Movie

I knew about the cycle, as this isn't the first time climate change has been discussed online (not just on this forum). Why did you put the link up when it disproves your point?

I literally just posted that link, and it demonstrates you are wrong. You stated: If this is so, then NASA wouldn't have a full page on the subject.

23% yes, but: "When Earth’s orbit is at its most elliptic, about 23 percent more incoming solar radiation reaches Earth at our planet’s closest approach to the Sun each year than does at its farthest departure from the Sun. Currently, Earth’s eccentricity is very slowly decreasing and is...

False balance. "Balanced reporting is generally considered good journalism, and balance does have its virtues. The public should be able to get information on all sides of an issue — but that doesn’t mean that all sides of the issue deserve equal weight. Science works by carefully examining...

    Climate: The Movie

The isotopes in the CO2 in the atmosphere show you are wrong. The proportion of isotopes shows us that they largely come from fossil fuels, which means its down to mankind. Before the Paris agreement, we were looking at 4C increase, which would have been.... disastarous. I mean really bad...

Thames Water nearing the cliff edge.

Since 2012, the EA's Environmental Protection resources have been cut by about 80%. They used to sample rivers and sewer discharges (and other discharges). They now rely of self monitoring by water companies for discharge analysis. River and bathing water sampling has been cut to the bone...

Offshore are very big, but onshore are limited in the UK to about 125m tall (last time I looked into this).

    Wind Turbines

There is an economic question. Storage costs money. If you had enough WT/storage capacity to have all WTs turning whenever the wind blew, it would greatly increase cost of WTs. Baseload supply is a continuous demand, and as such, wind/solar are not suitable for this type of supply. If you...

    Wind Turbines

Can I just remind people that wind turbines should be available to operate for at least 90% of the year, but have a capacity factor much lower. One may see a turbine going round for the majority of the time, but the capacity factor will still be much lower, as they can operate at variable...

Some nuclear plants has been able to ramp up & down for some time, its just that it isn't worth it for most economically, so they aren't built that way.

Good see a decent helmet. We had a colleague who suffered major facial injuries after a crash, as his helmet didn't have the facial protection (just a visor). I believe a helmet like yours would have prevented much of his injuries. He went through many operations to put it right.
