Where to put progs if they don't sort it themselves?

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Advanced Options. With some installers there's a default option that installs the generic settings, or an advanced option where you can choose the folder and shortcuts.

    Task Manager numbers..

You could try unmapping your network drives to see whether that improves the speed of open/save as dialogues.

Where to put progs if they don't sort it themselves?

In general, apps don't like having their path changed after installation. I'd suggest first you uninstall the app, then reinstall it and check whether there are advantaged options where you can choose the installation path. If there isn't an option to choose a path, it's likely the installer is...

Just bought a new Win10 PC - transfer of old to new?

Good point. This is also an opportunity to clean up.

Just bought a new Win10 PC - transfer of old to new?

I see a few good suggestions on how to move files across, but OP's original question was how to reinstall applications. That has to be done manually.

    Task Manager numbers..

Have you got the 64-bit version of Adobe installed? 32-bit versions will happily run on x64 architecture, but can only use half the memory with instructions so are slower than their 64-bit counterparts. Also, do you have any network drives mapped? That could impact your open/save as dialogues.

Just bought a new Win10 PC - transfer of old to new?

Short answer, no, there isn't an easier way for single PCs. Organisations with a large number of computers will create a standard image with the operating system and relevant applications, and then write the image to new computers instead of installing things one by one. They also use...

    Task Manager numbers..

I can't see anything obviously wrong with your stats, but I agree with Swwils that it's mostly likely a storage bottleneck. If you still have a magnetic disk (HDD), you should get a solid state drive (SSD). If you already have a SSD, you could use a RAM disk program to create a virtual drive...

All four are the same size: D 37 H 32 mm. If they look different in the photo, it's just because of the perspective.

4 x cabinet handles - free to good home

Just finished my kitchen renovation. The supplier sent me 4 of the wrong size handles so I can't use them, but there's nothing wrong with them and I dislike waste. If you want then, I'll post to you for free. 4 x s/steel cabinet handles, bushed nickel finish, D 37 H 32 mm. - Post in this...

    Sony PCG-5L2M laptop software problem.

That's Windows 10 being as helpful as ever... I'd suggest trying the same process using installation media. If you have an existing Windows 10 DVD or thumb drive, use that, otherwise you can download a copy from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Boot from the...

    Sony PCG-5L2M laptop software problem.

There should be an option called "Startup Repair" under Advanced Options, which is what I'd have recommended. Isn't it showing that option for you? Alternatively, there should also be a "Command Prompt" option. Is that also not showing?

    Three sim in router..slow speed

It really depends on the mobile coverage in your area. Have a look at 3's coverage map using your postcode: http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Network/Coverage If you have very good 4G coverage, you can get up to 42 Mbps. If you have weak 4G coverage, you'll get less than that. If you only have 3G...

How to connect ethernet cables to two TVs

Do you mean Power Over Ethernet? It depends on the quality of the house wiring. I've got 3 x TP-Link AV600 in my 2004-build home, and they're great. I get an average transfer of 46 Mbps, so not CAT5e speed by any means, but much better than wi-fi and without the hassle of running cable. On the...
