Agreed.
Here is another idea for you. Why not get one of these and fit it nice and low down to that long drain pipe you have.
I used one of these when DIY plumbing in my dishwasher and it works fine.
As the water leaves the sink it goes down to the trap and then has to come back up again and over in order to drain away.
This means when the washing machine starts to pump the initial surge of water has to start getting the large volume of water moving through the U bend which results in the...
Also try contacting these people - http://www.satcure.co.uk/
The owner lives or has a house in Greece and has installed UK satellite so should be in an excelent position to give some advice.
Petrols from 2000 onwards and Diesels from 2005 onwards in the USA had to be ODBII compliant. If you make sure you use the tool on compliant vehicles then it will work fine.
Some tools like the snap-on one I linked to earlier have adapters to read earlier cards.
As for the fault codes yes...
In that case you are probably only going to get a device which talks to the engine management system and perhaps airbag and abs. The device you originally found should be pretty good.
You can get cheaper devices off ebay but these are not always 100% reliable.
I bought a cheap Chinese...
I would contact them to see if it will do the basic engine diagnostics on non VAG cars as it would cover a lot of vehicles if it does.
You can probably get general purpose tools which allow you to test different modules (other than basic engine management) on a variety of manufacturers cars but...
Its not bad but still fairly basic. Personally I would either go for a dirt cheap one off ebay or get a decent one which does a lot more.
What make of vehicle do you have?
Have a look at http://www.ross-tech.com as they do probably the best 3rd party diagnostic systems for VAG cars. Your...
They should work fine but if you can try to get ones which are the specific Li-Mn type of Lithium Ion which is what Ryobi use.
They are not as high a capacity (15% less or so) but are more stable (less violent reaction if damaged) and work down to lower temperature of around -20C.
Stud detection is virtually useless. Metal detection can work but you can only use it to find out where the pipes are when you know that there are some. You can never rely on them saying there are no pipes.
Voltage detection can work very well. I have one of these...
It might be that with the extra detail in the HD picture your eyes are trying harder to focus.
Sitting furthur away, Watching TV with the lights on and not using CFL lights might make a difference.
They seem to be a weak point on a lot of cars. Audi are currently replacing all the coil packs on a range of cars when they next get serviced at a dealer. I had mine done about a month ago (2005 A4 2.0 TFSI).
Do you have the slim or the older model?
If you have the slim then you can connect it via an ethernet cable or via its built in wireless.
The older model has ethernet only but you can buy a USB wireless adapter for it.
I would say something along the lines that you are moving to an area which is already connected to virgin cable.
I dont know what box you have but a lot of the early Thompson HD boxes are unreliable and people have been getting discounts on the new 1TB box. Might be worth mentioning that your...
Oh and my advice would be not to bother with a solder pump and just get some desoldering braid instead. Solder pumps work find on single layer circuit boards but anything multilayer the solder braid does a lot better job of removing the solder from inside the hole. Even then it doesnt always...
No that would be fine. You can increase the voltage rating as much as you like as long as the higher voltage one will still physically fit.
If you want a new soldering iron then get yourself a bargain

I have the 50w equivilent...
Check CM809 aswell. Sometimes instead of the top splitting or bulging they can push out the rubber bung at the bottom. CM809 isnt flush to the circuit board. maybe it was just soldered that way or it might have pushed itself off the bung.
These are the only suitable capacitors that maplin...
