    More Bathroom Floor Questions

Hey again, another bathroom floor question. I have removed the old floorboards with the intention of laying 18mm plywood down. The current state of the joists is shown in the picture. I had planned to noggin around the edge and where the plywood join would be. Would this be sufficient. The...

    Load Bearing Wall?

Whilst ripping down the old ceiling in my house, I noticed the ceiling boards between my dining room and corridor were put up before the wall separating them was constructed. Does this mean it isn't load bearing, and if I fancy, may tear it down. I've attached a floor plan and a picture of...

Thanks for the advice. Would 18mm be sufficient for the job? The floor would be laminate and not tiles once complete.

Replacing Floor boards in Bath area.

    RSJ Needed?

It's definitely made of brick. The top wall of the toilet is the original external wall of the house so it's pretty close to the wall I was hoping to remove.

    RSJ Needed?

Hi Im looking at getting the current wall between my bathroom and toilet knocked through. Bathroom and Toilet in blue. The wall is about 1.5m long, and 100-150mm thick and runs perpendicular to the joists as shown below. So do you think it will need an RSJ (as well as...

    Downstairs Renovation Ideas?

Hi there I've just moved into a new house, which requires a fair bit of work doing to it. I've attached the current floor plan below. (small white rectangle is an annoyingly placed boiler I plan to get moved) Below is my current plan, does this seem reasonable, and does anyone...
