The boiler is not running at full whack on heating, the pump could be on its last legs and would still heat the rads , how many people notice the heating is taking a bit longer to heat up especially on a small system, it could be something else but unless I was standing in front of the boiler...

And ..... might be feck all resistance in the heating circuit against the fairly high resistance of a plate heat exchanger but I am sure you knew that.:rolleyes:

The op has changed the plate heat exchanger, the diverter is not passing so chances are the pump is blocked or dying and causing poor circulation of the primary water.

Change the pump head.

You most likely have a passing shower or mixer tap, these rely on cheap plastic non return valves to keep the hot and cold separate.

Turn the power off completely to the boiler and controls, leave for a couple of minutes and power up and see if that solves your problem.

Usual fault is the water moving to quickly through the heat exchanger, the software looks for a certain rise in temp over a set time, if the water is moving too fast the software interprets this as slow pump or no water and throws f22.

It looks like an air vent so it could most probably be removed and retaped, is it a communal system ? as you cant turn the rad off it means either freezing it or a drain down, its nothing you have done.

What type of valves (2 x 2 port or a 3 port valve) do you have ?

I wasnt suggesting the gas pipe was your issue with lack of flow . just pointing out what might be a problem when you get the flow sorted, what flow you getting from your kitchen hot tap ?

Probably starved of gas if this elbow is any thing to go by.....

The water tank maybe a buffer vessel for the heat pump. as said probably a combi boiler , any chance of a few pics ?

Hi yes I realised when you said vent went out on to roof.

Yes you can connect the feed into the vent as long as the vent is 22mm all the way down and the boiler has a overheat stat.

Might still be under warranty, give potterton a call if the voltage turns out to be ok.

No the pump is fine where it is, the swiched live from the zone valve/s is connected to the RT , what type of zone valves do you have ?
