Sorry, I don't understand your abbreviations.

    Gas pressure drop

I used this, (and outside diams.) and added 10% to be safe.

    Gas pressure drop

Very occasionally, heating pre-cooked meals. To be honest, the cooker is over the top for our needs, a 4 ring one would adequate.

    Gas pressure drop

As a matter of interest, how do you guys measure a system volume?

    Gas pressure drop

Thanks anyway guys, as far as I can tell from the replies and my, admittedly rough, calculation, the system can be serviced by a non-commercially qualified gas engineer, and the pressure drop may be below the permitted limit. We will ask our normal engineer to confirm this one way or the other...

    Gas pressure drop

Measured the pipe lengths per diameter, then used volume = pi x radius squared x length of pipe (I used the outside diameters, 28, 22 & 15 to be on the safe side). I appreciate that this is a rough and ready calculation and does not account for the pressure. Our regular guy is coming next week...

    Gas pressure drop

I have now measured the volume of the system which is ≈ 0.02155. The meter plate reads: Qmax 6M3/h Qmin 0.12m3/h P max75 Mbar V 2dm3

    Gas pressure drop

I can see our gas engineer disputing this if he is not so qualified, so I would be grateful if you could refer me to this particular regulation. TIA

    Gas pressure drop

I am not certain of the size of boilers or meter, which looks the same as my own at home. One boiler is a WB 28i Junior combi supplying hot water to the kitchen and 7 radiators, the other is a larger Vaillant Thermo Compact, and heats 13 large radiators in the main Hall. The cooker is a...

    Gas pressure drop

Our Village Hall has about 25m run of 28mm pipe after the gas meter then a further 5m of 22mm to the kitchen combi boiler and a further 3m of 22mm to a gas cooker. About 6m into the 28m run a 22mm pipe is teed off for about 5m, and feeds a further combi boiler. On a recent check with all...

Thank you gentlemen, and goodnight, I shall now go back to my polite forums. I hope you continue to enjoy your childish tantrums and insults.

Given the adverse comment on Salus, what is wrong with them? and can anyone suggest a reasonably priced one with a good reputation? TIA

    Viessmann Vitodens 200

Apologies for resurrecting this thread. Having had my annual service done today, I asked the engineer to fit a good quality programmable wireless stat. He has brought a Salus RT500RF. Unfortunately he is clearly not up with the requirements for wiring this into the Viessmann, nor adjusting the...

    Viessmann Vitodens 200

I certainly didn't. As I said previously, their manuals are not easy to follow, and yes, I have decided that the type of heating with the WC is not suitable for the way we use our house, particularly as I use Honeywell electronic stats in areas.
