Anti Cycling mode on hot water only

70?? That's near maximum. I don't think I've ever had it up that high before. Will give it a try. But I thought you're meant to turn the boiler down during the warmer months of the year?

Sorry, yes 637. Boiler temp 62 deg. Cylinder stat at about 60 deg. I've tried tweaking both but no difference.

Anti Cycling mode on hot water only

Hi All, I have a Vaillant ecoTEC 837 system boiler. When heating the cylinder (unvented Megaflow on S plan), I find that it heats up for about 35 mins, and then the boiler enters anticycling mode for a few mins, before pump shuts off. About 3 mins later, boiler fires up again and runs for...

    LEDs flash very so often

I would add a piece of earth wire between the back box and the light switch. Sleeve it. If you look at the back of your switch, you'll see where the earth wire should attach.

    Fibre Washers?

Old thread I know but I've just done the same as the OP: Changed a basin tap this morning, but there was no fibre washer in the fitting connecting to the tap tail. Needless to say, it weeped slightly after fitting the new tap. Didn't have any fibre washers with me. All I had to hand was...

    Boiler stop starting on hw

Hi guys, Quick question: I've noticed that when boiler is heating up hw cylinder, it will run for about 40 mins until cylinder stat reaches temp and shuts boiler off (all normal and as expected). But a few mins later the boiler will start up again to heat up the cylinder. Then after say 10...

Vaillant VRC470f controls very slow temperature change

For understanding the technology I've got you guys ;-) I was considering the wireless version so that just plugs into the front of the boiler right? So no covers off and therefore no gas safe guy?

Vaillant VRC470f controls very slow temperature change

Can I fit this myself or do need to get a gas safe engineer in?

Vaillant VRC470f controls very slow temperature change

My current setup is the traditional room stat and 7 day programmer configuration. So in order for the heating to come on, both stat and programmer need to be calling for heat. If I fit a weather compensator does the call for heat only come via the in built stat? ie could the boiler fire up...

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

New tee fitted and appears to be dry (after a few nip ups). I used a couple of flexihose extentions as I was worried the tap hoses used on their own would kink them a bit too much. See pic. Is this ok do you feel? One other thing: one of the isolators is weeping from the screw. See...

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

Trouble is my plumbing skills are non existent. If I'm to have ANY chance of doing this successfully I better use the right tools.

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

Doh! Old tee out now. The Mrs has just picked up a puller and on way over so may as well go whole hog and fit the new one now.

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

Won't be able to get hacksaw on to the pipe going out through the cabinet (bottom leg of tee) so olive puller it is I think.

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

Ok so new tee it is. I've seen the method of cutting into the olive and then using a flat blade driver to split it open but the was demonstrated on a work bench. Will be difficult to do that in situ I feel so will try and get a puller tomorrow. Thanks for the support guys. Will report...

    Help fitting monoblock kitchen tap

So you're saying to fit a new tee, right? Was going to get a pipe cutter and cut off old section of pipe, but then I guess that might leave me a bit short. Olive pullers are 20 pounds from toolstation. Will that do? Never used one so wondering if they actually damage the pipe in removing...
