A rathe large flat roof... what's the worst case scenario?

Id get a firm in to do it, a roof that size would need on site joining of the rubber, you would never lift or manage a sheet that size. You would need to also fit Russ Strips, which seems to be another requirement for rubber roofs.

    Clay Ridge Tiles - fixing

Its handy to keep in the van for emergency repairs, and working in wet weather, but far to pricey, you will use loads on the joints. I was in roofing yard this morning and they can hardly shift the stuff. Back bed the ridge on, with some clips screwed down if your in a windy area.

Can I seal a small gap between two bits of felt myself?

Try a tube of lead/gutter sealant first if its the join. Slightly open the joint up, then run the sealant between and press back down, smooth of with wet finger.

    Blocked expanding foam gun.

You can take them all apart and remove the long needle, run cleaner through it. I have thrown a couple of those away, problem was the small threaded collar, foam cans would cross thread themselves and release foam before seated. The type sold by toolstation and Screwfix are far better...

Flat roof - EPDM over Celotex

Using those boards, you will see all the joints, 6mm or 11mm will pull down to much when screwed. Use 18mm osb3 T&G 2.4x 600mm, for a nice flat even finish for the rubber.
