    Air Source v Storage heaters

Hi all I know it seems obvious that storage heaters are power hungry but hear me out. Changing 16A MCB to 10A

The issue was on the input not the cables out to socket. The inputs were cable linked rather than a busbar so have replaced mcbs and used busbar Probably a poor connection, it does look a bit of a mess, wires all over the place! Hopefully tidied up now.

Im thinking for safety, changing to a 10A to prevent this happening again. To add - the MCB is dual...

    Making Old Storage Heaters Smart

opening an old thread but may be of use. I have storage heaters and quite happy with them, older ones need to be closed until you manually open the output but can be quite poor at retaining heat. If they are connected to the night switchover unit a smart option is pointless as they should only...

Electric dilemma - MCB info wanted

Yes they have an off switch, " in fact theres 3 (fused wall switch, power switch on rear and an on/off on the control) but you tend to have them powered on and use the control panel as and when needed and in the problem I had, there must have been a power cut and once re connected they all...

Electric dilemma - MCB info wanted

Hi I have a holiday home and received a 2k elec bill recently despite the house being empty 6 months. I have found my elec heaters come on automatically if there has been a power cut so presume this is the issue. The maker says the heaters do this and advised to switch main switch off! I have...
