Just checked the adapter there and to be honest it felt actually hot at one side, I've decided to remove it, I don't suppose there's any plug in rcds you know of that are designed for continuous use?

Yeah it is. I assumed having an rcd downstream of the board and immediately protecting the filter pump would add a level of safety?
