box gutter/valley advice - best way to form and cover?

Your best bet is to get the ''valley''/Water Run-Off'' done in EPDM. It's Rubber that can be done in 1 sheet, Ideal for what your after TBH. 1 Single sheet all the way. NO JOINS! NO LEAKING POINT!!

    Sarnafil Help (and warning)

Hi, I've not worked with Sarnafil myself, But from the look of the pics you've posted, The joins/overlaps have come ''unstuck'' Surely it's common sense to lap the joints the other way?? So the water flows over the joints and not into the joints????

Taping joints when decking a flat roof ready for EPDM??

Hi, When decking a flat roof or overboarding ready for a new membrane do people tape the joints?? If so what tape is used? The membrane that was going to be used it EPDM?, I'm just a bit worried that where the boards meet and there is a joint then the EPDM may come unstuck.

    Your opinion on this chimney?

Rip it down and re-build it, Get the job done properly 1st time!! If you've had quotes and not 1 has mentioned a re-build then I'd worry about the 'roofer'!! Maybe they'll change a few bricks and repoint the stack and everything will be ok

Flat roof - Firestone EPDM - advice

3.2x3.2? That is about 10-12 sq mts? That would be done in ONE piece of rubber, However the rubber that would be needed is probably near to 15-20 sq mts to include upstands and the gutter drip etc. If you already have plyboard decking and its sound, Why rip it up and replace it? Why not...

Having a Propane bottle lying down?

Hi, Just a quick question for the roofers out the who use the red propane bottles. Is it ok to transport a propane bottle in the boot of a car lying down?? It'll have to be lying down because the bottle is too big to be stud up. It'll only be lying down for an hour or so. Cheers

    1970's Woodwall Insulation??

Cheers for the reply. Nah, Nothing to do with cheapness, Just that a mate has had a flat roof to strip, Which is felted, And this stuff is the decking. How do you fix (if you can?) some OSB/Ply boards onto it if not being able to find the joists? And is it ok to totally remove it?
