Yeah decent ply! You'd still have to cut the 12mm to the size of the insulation if it needs cutting? could you overlap the joints of the insulation? Cheers.

As the subject really, When using insulation on top of joists, Can you use the insulation WITHOUT the 6mm ply and instead put your own 12mm ply on top? Reason being the 6mm ply is very flimsy so would look rubbish if using EPDM. Thanks.

well dont you get charged for cold water? if the hot water wasn't so hot I'd save on cold water? Not saying I'm gonna do it but I've heard it off a mate who does plumbing work for the council. I thought it was stupid but cameon here for advice/info.

Turning the hot tap temperature down? Can you do this to save on cold water?

Sorry mate, cant recommend any in the Essex area. I could in Birmingham tho!!! I would recommend looking into the EPDM tho, Get it done properly and you'll be not wanting it done again I bet while your living there, Felt however........Who knows. The EPDM looks tidy too!!!

Pay the extra and get it done by proper installers in EPDM IMHO, That will see you through a good few years more than felt. Shop about a bit you may get it cheaper. Also what part of the UK are you from?

We were fixing 9mm ply to the existing woodwool decking, We came across some Peel Rivets that worked a treat!!!! Not cheap but made the job go a lot easier!!!!!

A friend want's his garage roof done in EPDM, Problem being his garage roof is concrete, How would he fix new plyboards to concrete to get a nice clean decking to lay the EPDM? I thought about drilling and pluggingb but with an area of 20sqm might take a while. :? ?

Quick update, The chimney is on a terraced house with it being on half of next doors roof, We both agree it needs taking down. A mate said he'd do it only taking it to down to about 3 bricks above the lead flashing (which needs replacing) and then flaunching (sp) off the top. He said about...

Why? Can't I just take it down to the breast in the loft? Refelt, batten, then tile?

How difficult is it? Any hints tips on doing it?
