ok sounds good how do i isolate the header tank and do i fit the hose to the down stairs rad how do i do that

I have a leaking rad valve but there is only one drain point just above the boiler on the return pipe but its does not work there are no other drain points on any of the upstaire or down stairs rads how am i going to change the valve on the upstairs bathroom rad oh its a conventional system, :(
