    Did you get water out when you bled ? Check that you have water in the small expansion tank and that you have water in the system.

    Buy an offset one of these Forget about lining up old screw holes and just screw to the floorboards using brass screws and white screw caps. silicone around base of pan when finished. The offset pan connector gives you a bit more scope for manouvering the pan if you need to.

    Some of them early netaheats had asbestos inside and i remember being told some 10 years ago to stop servicing them :P Best to get rid carefully :wink:

    Hardboard in an ensuite bathroom

    Hardboard will be fine so long as you soak it before tacking to the floor (leave it to soak overnight) as you don't want it expanding when it is down :shock: Also leave a 1/4" gap around edge and silicone around edge when the flooring is laid. Ply is better though .

    Disregard the unhelpful reply from mr/mrs arrogant above as most towel rails have vertical tapins for the rad valves which will mean altering the pipework. :P

    That will be the problem then ! You need one rad without a thermo valve otherwise they will switch off when up to temp and the boiler won't like that. Get rid of the valve and put back what was there :shock:

    Did it have a thermostatic valve before ? Does every rad have a thermostatic valve ? Is it a sealed system ?

    What is the bath made of ? If acrylic or fibreglass then i have a bath rubber that you can have a peice of or you might be able to buy one.....A bathroom rep gave me mine so not sure if you can buy one....t-cut will work but i would send it back :(

    Absolutely superb.........I worked for BG in the early 80's and stole so much gear (walk into stores every day and load up van with pipe,fittings and lead) that i now own 6 houses :D Not sure about nowadays though :?:

    lead to copper joints (wipe a joint)

    A top tip from a master plumber :wink: Make the edge of the copper jagged (i tap hard around the ends with the edge of my file) and then tap and twist into the lead and it won't fall out while sweating a joint :D
