if there is a drain tap it would be on the bottom of the rad, so either way your doing to have access probs, it would be quicker to remove bottom hose as the drain tap will take for ever to empty the cooling system

how are you attatching a hose to you bleed valve??? do you mean the drain off valve (at the bottom) the bleed valve is at the top (little square screw)
