Fitting a flush gas meter box

Thanks for that. It has to be 330mm from any electric, 180mm from a window, and between 500mm and 1000mm from the floor. Should be easy enough. Also, the DPM that goes over and behind the box, does this have to be tied into the brick work below the box or just pushed down into the cavity?

Sealing a concrete floor before tiling

Hi, I have filled in the hole i dug (1ft deep) 3x6x1ft deep , with concrete, and let it dry for 3 weeks. Yesterday, i leveled the floor with febflor plus self-leveling compound, which actually is not 100% self leveling so now its about 3mm out across the surface of 3ft in width and 6 ft...

How to cut a square hole in a sheet of glass.

Take the glass out, and replace it with a wooden panel. A dog hitting into a single glazed door panel will end in a £400 vet bill.

    need a 78 x 28 door (1981 x 710)

You can take 1/2" off the bottom of a 78" door no problems. But taking 2 1/4" off the sides might be a bit greedy. If its an internal door, can you make the opening wider or is it just a simple door replacement job?

    Which construction method

WOW. your games room is going to be bigger than my house including the garden! 8m x 8m (100ft x 100ft) thats an insane amount of space for a games room. 100ft from your house too. If you have that much land, then surely you can afford a proper building company to come round and do the...
