Are you sure about that? I think the ones round here are :wink: :lol: Richard, I think most kids signing up think that way about a career in the forces. I know when my hubby's nephew was about to sign up, my hubby and his brothers (other uncles) sat him down and told him exactly what life...

And neither are new recruits to the forces either - it all comes later!

Have you not seen the adverts for the forces BAS? Or been at a school's career's talk? I quite honestly cannot remember killing people ever being mentioned in one! Its all join up for a career, travel the world etc. Be honest, you could walk down the road and get killed by a bus - it...

I don't agree with that either BAS. I'll bet most of the service people out there would rather be somewhere else too - most join the forces for a career not to kill people.

Slogger, in my son's school's case, the head would simply expel them for flouting the school rules. It's a foundation school and he can pick and choose who he wants there. He is a very strict guy but also really fair. I think that's why the kids are so happy there - they all have the respect...

If they brought back hanging I'd offer to pull the rope! I just cannot understand the mentality of these 'people' who want to go out and cold bloodedly murder innocent people. Guy Fawkes had the right idea, blowing up the Houses of Parliament :twisted:

Stupid woman! Must say though that the kids at my youngest's school aren't allowed to wear any flags or badges of any description on their uniforms unless issued by the school (ie prefect, library asst, school council etc). The reason behind this isn't racial, it's common sense - some kids...

Couldn't agree more. However, my son's school is not private but it actually rates above the private schools for A*-C passes. 1,212 pupils and a 79% pass rate at A*-C and 98% at A*-G - can't really ask for much better - the nearest other high school to me has 897 pupils and a 47% pass rate...

WoodYouLike, ring the Citizens Advice Bureau - they are usually excellent at stuff like this. Hope you get some joy :D
