    boiler warranties

Id be interested to know which ones that is... the merchant is essentially the first purchaser and then the installer usually so the end user. A warranty is for the operation of the appliance so its unusual to hear this about some manufacturers.

    boiler warranties

The warranty covers the appliance so there should be no reason that it wouldn't be covered regardless of new owners etc.

    Quick Question

depends on the boiler, probably yes. isolate the heating flow and return and just drain the system. Leave the pressure in the boiler and it should work. as Dan said, it all depends on the model really. Im guessing you're making alterations to the system?

How should a boiler flue be tested

As above, a flue gas analysis would need to be carried out. Don't let him leave after he has fitted the new one without doing this. Its sealed for a reason... Piers

Glow Worm 23C Boiler - Repeated Low Pressure

Firstly you need to identify where the problem is, is it the boiler or the system? unless you can see clear signs of leaks from the boiler or the PRV pipe outside its not likely to be the boiler. A simple test you could do to identify which is the issue: 1 - top the boiler and system up...

    No hot water - Glow-worm Ultracom 30

Hi Tom When you were looking at the status with the hot water issue was it S.14 or S.24? S14 is hot water demand (actual flow through the appliance) S24 is preheat I presume you are familiar with the diagnostic menu (status is D99), have a look at D36 when the hot tap is on. The D36 is...

    New Boiler

have you considered another Glow-Worm? the ultracom2 35 cxi can give a 35 degree rise at 14.6l/min the ultracom2 35 store can give a 35 degree rise at 19.7l/min however this is a storage combi so larger in size. thats if you do replace the boiler... if you have it serviced correctly there...

    Gloworm flexicon 18hx faults

F11 - temperature related fault (read from NTC thermistor) F22 - ignition temperature rise issue, not rising by 2 degrees in 5 seconds on ignition (too slow) F25 - ignition temperature rise too fast or a high temperature difference between flow and return. All down to circulation. Make...

Glowworm ultrapower six PCB fuse blows

i would start by checking polarity onto the board and that you have a good connection and a good earth. If this is ok i would take every plug off the PCB apart from the power in and see what happens. If it blows again and the supply is ok, its most likely a PCB issue. If it doesnt blow...

Glow Worm Flexicom 30cx F5 then F9 error?

To be honest Tony, im not 100% but as far as im aware they will attend, issue a notice if its a system fault and you get 3 chances to rectify the issue. The 3rd visit is chargeable if you havnt had the issues rectified beforehand... The first visit would not cost anything as its not the...

Can I get a COMBI with a 15mm gas connection?

Dont always believe what you read on the net.... like the above for example... Cheap boilers attract cheap installers, who dont fit them properly. Thats the only "prone problem"...

Glow Worm Flexicom 30cx F5 then F9 error?

The F5 is overheat, these models dont actually have an overheat stat. They register the temperature through thermistors so there isnt a red button to press. The main cause for a boiler to overheat is through lack of circulation. This could be linked to your F9 fault as the F9 is a pressure...
