    Widow maker

Just a possibility, once upon a time there was just 1 "13A" cable and 1 daisy chain cable but 3 lights, so chop daisy chain cable in 2 and use both ends.

Water Slow to Heat and Poor Pressure - Two Switches in Immersion Heater Cupboard

Do you mean that when you turn on a hot tap then it takes (best part of) a minute for hot water to appear?

RCD on Outside Water Proof Socket?

Apologies for living down to my moniker (again). I believe Eric means 40ms.

No need for a fly lead on this shaver socket?

There's no need to buy one just use an offcut of wire (hopefully you've got some lying around) and sleeve it suitably.

    Backwards switch on one side.

I don't believe that's correct. If I've understood properly then it should be a case of moving the black wire from L1 to L2. But do be very careful as ETAF recommends.

2 gang trailing socket hardwired in place of 2 gang switched socket

Obviously I'd defer to the professionals here, but would a flex outlet plate such as: https://cpc.farnell.com/click/cca017/outlet-plate-20a/dp/PL10173?MER=sy-me-pd-mi-alte on a 16mm pattress be the slimmest solution?

I assume Madrab meant " should not be an issue".

I really can't agree with that, has there been a typo? Do you mean right (rather than left)?

street lights and EV charging points

They're certainly deemed to be big enough around me (near Pimlico tube station), there's one in the lamppost outside and several in the street as a whole. Also I frequently see cars being charged, from a lamppost, in the Chelsea and Battersea areas.

Concealed Gas flue in listed building

I believe you'd be better off asking this on the Plumbing and Central Heating forum (regrettably you'd probably need to explain, again, how you got to this query).

Can I turn down the central heating temperature on combi boiler if I have TRVs?

Apologies, I've been away from t'internet. Yes they were clear that this is irrespective of any other thermostats (room or TRV), I expect you've got this message from the others well before now.

Can I turn down the central heating temperature on combi boiler if I have TRVs?

The PM programme on Radio 4 has been talking about this and, as long as you've got a condensing boiler, they were recommending a Flow (i.e. as the water leaves the boiler) temperature of about 60C. they seemed to be saying that that's a setting of about 3 on a Worcester Bosch boiler on the CH...

Tracing / fixing a damaged spur

Usually a cable has some info stamped on (usually only) 1 side (its a sod to read especially in a dingy loft), an example I have is: CMK BASEC ELECTRIC CABLE BS 6004 6242Y H 2 x 1 +1mm² 300/500 V CE 2019 hopefully others will say if I'm guessing wrongly, but I imagine it starts with manufacturer...
