Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

Thanks for the info. I did some Googling to search for difference between the 100-W and the 200-W and I found this thread (https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/viessmann-advice-pls-compare-100w-vs-200w-models.476282/) which I noticed you were also contributing on. It had some really useful info...

Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

The house this will be going into has been completely gutted, completely new water pipes are going to be put in. The builder will be doing a pressure test to make sure it is more than sufficient. I think he will be installing 35mm pipes. How can I do a heat loss calculation? Thoughts on...

Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

What about Viessmann Vitodens 100-W System 35kw? They seem to be highly recommended by various websites (from my recent Google searching)

Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

When I was renting, they had a Vaillant combi and whenever it was serviced, the engineer would always say that Vaillant boilers were awesome and reliable. They would say they were the Rolls Royce of boilers. Haven't heard anything bad about Vaillant so I assumed they were a top quality brand. If...

Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

Also, I notice that for a given Megaflo of a certain size (e.g. 300 litres), there's some variants indicated by the model name e.g. 300dd 300ddd and 300dddd. From what I can find out, the number of d's correspond to the number of heating elements. But if the water is heated by the gas system...

Recommendation of Vaillant boiler and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo?

A bit of context: I'm in the UK and putting in a new heating system (the old system has been completely removed) in my house. It's a 5 bedroom house, with 4 bathrooms; 3 with showers only, one with a bathtub and shower over tub. The house has gas for heating. It will have a wet underfloor...

Texecom Premier keypad flush vs surface mount

Anyone know if it is easy to change the basic plastic keypad to the metal flush mounted keypad after install? Is it a straight swap or is there any complication with the change?

Texecom Premier keypad flush vs surface mount

Awesome thank you. It seems a little disingenuous to call it flush when it sticks out 7mm from the wall.

Texecom Premier keypad flush vs surface mount

I'm looking to get a Texecom Premier alarm fitted and have a choice between flush vs surface mount for the keypad. I found this thread (https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/texecom-premier-flush-mount-vs-surface-mount.339901/) which seemed to have the same query but neither it nor my Google...

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

Sorry, I'm digging up an old thread but this is exactly my same question. Does anyone have a picture of a metal keyboard flush mount vs surface mount? Specifically a more side profile picture so I can see how far they both stick out (I believe the flush mount isn't exactly flush with the wall...

    Which Ryobi lawn mower?

I had a corded mower a long while back but I found it very annoying with the cord. I definitely want to go cordless electric.

Auto line feed not working on grass strimmer

Ah okay, fair enough. I'm using the original line reel that came with the strimmer. It worked before I had it in storage, so something's changed since I've started using it. I'll try what you suggested though with unravelling it all and using some silicon lubricant. Hopefully that'll help.

Auto line feed not working on grass strimmer

Thanks for that. But I'm still confused. Say the line is barely coming out of the reel. When I turn on the strimmer, the line will start to feed(due to centrifugal force), when it reaches the blade, it will get cut but won't it keep feeding more line continuously which then keeps getting cut by...

Auto line feed not working on grass strimmer

Okay, thanks for the info. I will certainly try that. But how does the auto line feed work? Say the line is cut very close to where it comes out of the reel? What triggers the auto feed? How does it know the line is not long enough? And once it is long enough, how does it know it needs to stop...

Auto line feed not working on grass strimmer

I have a cordless grass strimmer which has auto line feed. It used to work fine before but it's been unused for a while but since trying to use it again, the auto line feed doesn't seem to work. Everything else seems to work okay, I can click the button which will manually feed a little bit of...

    Which Ryobi lawn mower?

I have a relatively small garden that I mow a couple times a week in summer. By the time I get around to it, the grass can be quite long and thick which means my current battery electric mower struggles (the battery is not very good, otherwise it would be fine). I'm only keen on the one+ Ryobi...

    Switching to Ryobi cordless tools

I meant, from a weight perspective. Having 1.3 or 2.5Ah for the lower power demand tools might make them more usable rather than having a large weighted battery. No?

    Switching to Ryobi cordless tools

Gotcha, that makes sense. Happy to go with a pair of 4 or 5ah batteries, but I thought these might be a bit heavy for when I need a fairly small tool. E.g. a small powered screwdriver, glue gun etc so thought a small battery might be better for those, no?

    Switching to Ryobi cordless tools

Yeah I saw that a few days ago, I think that sale has been on for a while so when I checked there were none at any of the stores near me or anywhere I was willing to travel too (quite a reasonable distance).
