I was considering railings - I agree - solution is to get the 'lift' of rubbish too high

By fly-tipping I mean building work rubble, bags of garden soil (from someone doing garden work I assume), bin liners of food and rubbish (from new year). I agree chicken wire will be an eye sore so decided against that idea.

That was my conclusion too...so decided against it.

I did...someone pulled it off the wall. Was thinking about putting up sign saying no tipping but thought the sign might go the same way as cctv sign.

I have cctv...unfortunately tree blocks the cameras in corner of the front garden.

I need to build a small fence in my front garden to stop fly tipping from the main road. I've attached picture taken from the road - see picture attached. I was thinking of inserting a wooden post by each of the brick pillars and attaching a wire mesh using a nail gun. Not done this before so...

Repainting old exterior brickwork - see pictures. Has some algae/mould that I managed to scrape off. Noticed some moisture on bricks under paint in first picture. Not sure if I need to use a fungicidal wash ( Everbuild 404) before I seal with some 406 and paint with Weathershield. Any advice...

Used PTFE tape - leak fixed. Thank you everyone for the help. I let some air into pipes removing valve- any advice on how to get the air out?

Removed olive - pipe slightly compressed - hopefully won't cause problems with new olive

Thanks for the advice - good point. I also have a monument olive removing tool I bought a while ago - assuming it's better than the hacksaw

It is PTFE tape - just removed it. Will clean joint surfaces and put on some new PTFE tape.

I'm trying to figure out if I need to remove this white stuff or put the PTFE over it

Tried backing nut off half turn and re-tightening but that didn't work. Took off valve and it looks like white PTFE already used before. Is that correct? (see pictures below).

Not tried tightening - thought I might over-tighten and damage pipe. Was planning to drain system before working on olive. Thanks for the advice.

Have a slight leak at the bottom of the TRV compression fitting (see picture) after removing radiator for decorating. Assume I need to replace the olive. Do I turn the bottom compression nut left or right to get to the olive? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for your help - managed to remove radiator not touched in 30yrs without spilling anything. Like Opps said above, I might have twisted TRV valve slightly and there is some moisture from underside I will monitor. Thanks again everyone.
