    Bluetooth file transfer problem

Depends on the operating system but usually straight forward. If both are connected up to the same router somehow then they should be networked together. Right click on a folder you wish to share, select sharing and security, then tick share this folder. This folder is now shared to the...

    laptop batter problem

They are not that expensive, you can usually get a Original Dell PSU for about £20 or so, we stock them in work along with most other original adapters. Multi adapters are pretty expensive when you get an original for much cheaper.

Removing solid fuel fire (Dual Feed)

Ok, need a bit of advice everyone :D Thanks for the help so far. I have removed enough of the crap that the boiler is now "free" just 3 pipes to disconnect and the flue. The 3 pipes, where are they likely to run, is there somewhere else I can disconnect or block them off so I can...

Cheers, that sorted it. Can I not take a grinder to the flue then remove the boiler and pull it down? Also, I will be mounting my TV above the fireplace, will I have any problems with this because I have removed bricks?

That white pad looks likes a thermal pad which touches the metal casing to allow it to cool properly, does this like it is doing this correctly?

    Bluetooth file transfer problem

To be honest bluetooth isnt great, you would be much better sharing the files accross the network, I assume they are both connected up to a router? If so you can just share the files/folders accross the network and access them this way, this is going to be much faster and easier.

    LCD monitor replacement board suppliers?

Do you have a picture of the PCB showing which chip is getting warm? Depending on how big it is a small heatsink could be attached using some thermal adhesive and possibly fitting a fan as someone else has said.

Haven't cut anything off yet think I shall leave that to the professionals as I like having heat. I can hear a bubbling noise in one of the upstairs radiators hmm.

belkin wireless network card keeps disabling,

Hi Can you be more specific. Does the wireless card install ok and pick up any networks, or can you not even get this far? Have you tried obtaining the latest drivers from the belkin website as the older ones may have issues with SP3.

    LCD monitor replacement board suppliers?

How old is the monitor? Have you contacted NEC, legally they should have to repair or replace it for free although if you have opened it they can refuse to do this.

    Rising Damp

Hi everyone, thanks for the reassurances, Here are some pictures showing the worst bits, I will probably get a couple of companies in to look at it again but after paying the last company £85 for what looked like a pretty generic report that was very vague I am reluctant to do this again...

    laptop batter problem

Its a pretty handy feature. My comment about using only original adapters applies to all makes and models of laptops, if you have seen inside one of these cheap replacement or multi adapters you would see why, they are made with cheap components that are not rated correctly and most of the...

    Running Cables

Hi, thanks for the reply, I will get another look at the floorboards next week and see what I can do, so do I just cut the floorboards with a jigsaw? I would think this could cut into the joist also and assume this is a bad thing? Is the power something I should just leave to a spark and how...
